4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Pre-Installation Checks

4.2 Mounting the Water Heater

The Orient Electric Primus is designed for hanging mount installation.

  1. Select a suitable vertical wall location, away from direct splashes and within reach of water and power connections.
  2. Use the provided fasteners to securely mount the water heater to the wall. Refer to the mounting template (if provided) for accurate hole placement.

4.3 Water Connections

  1. Connect the cold water inlet pipe to the blue marked inlet on the bottom of the water heater.
  2. Connect the hot water outlet pipe to the red marked outlet on the bottom of the water heater.
  3. Use appropriate plumbing fittings and ensure all connections are watertight.
  4. Open the main water supply valve and allow the water heater to fill completely. Open a hot water tap in your sink to release air from the system until water flows steadily.
