4. Product Overview
4.1 Front Panel
The front panel features the power button, an LED display, and the access bay for the 2.5-inch hard drive.
4.2 Rear Panel Connections
The rear panel provides all necessary ports for connecting the receiver to your television, satellite dish, and other devices.

5. Setup
5.1 Connecting to Your TV

- Alternatively, use the provided AV cable to connect the AV port on the receiver to the corresponding AV inputs on your TV.
5.2 Connecting to the Satellite Dish
- Connect your satellite dish cable(s) to the LNB 1 and/or LNB 2 inputs on the rear panel of the receiver.
- If you have a single LNB, connect it to LNB 1. For Twin Tuner functionality (recording one channel while watching another), connect two separate LNB cables to LNB 1 and LNB 2.

5.3 Power Connection
- Connect the power adapter to the DC IN 12V port on the receiver.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
5.4 Hard Drive Installation (Optional)
The receiver supports an integrated removable 2.5-inch SATA hard drive (up to 2TB, not included) for recording and Timeshift functions.
- Ensure the receiver is powered off and unplugged.
- Locate the hard drive bay on the front panel.
- Gently slide a compatible 2.5-inch SATA hard drive into the bay until it clicks into place.
- Close the bay cover.
- After powering on, the receiver may prompt you to format the new hard drive. Follow the on-screen instructions.

5.5 Initial Setup and Channel Scan
- Power on the receiver and your TV. Select the correct HDMI or AV input on your TV.
- The receiver will guide you through the initial setup wizard.
- Select your preferred language and region.
- Perform a channel scan. The receiver comes with a pre-programmed channel list for Astra 19.2°, simplifying the process.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the power button on the front panel or the remote control.
- Channel Selection: Use the CH+/CH- buttons or enter the channel number directly on the remote.
- Volume Control: Use the VOL+/VOL- buttons on the remote.
- Menu Navigation: Press the MENU button to access the main menu. Use arrow keys to navigate and OK to confirm.
6.2 PVR (Personal Video Recorder) Functionality
The HRS 9194 allows you to record programs to the internal 2.5-inch HDD or an external USB storage device.
- Instant Recording: While watching a program, press the REC button on the remote control. To set a recording duration, press the REC button a second time and enter the desired length.
- Timer Recording: Access the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) or the Timer menu. Select the desired program and set a timer for recording.
6.3 Timeshift
Timeshift allows you to pause live TV and resume watching later. This feature requires a connected hard drive or USB storage device.
- While watching live TV, press the PAUSE button to activate Timeshift.
- Press PLAY to resume. You can also fast-forward or rewind within the buffered content.
6.4 Media Player
The HD media player supports playback of video, audio, and image files from USB storage media (NTFS and FAT32 file systems).
- Connect a USB storage device to the USB port on the rear panel.
