Installation
The iulock IU-30 Smart Door Knob is designed for easy installation with just a screwdriver. It is suitable for both left and right-handed doors.
Door Compatibility

Installation Steps Overview
- Prepare the Door: Ensure your door meets the thickness and backset requirements.
- Install the Latch: Insert the adjustable latch into the door edge and secure it with screws.
- Install Exterior Keypad: Feed the cable from the exterior keypad assembly through the latch mechanism and into the door. Position the exterior knob.
- Install Interior Assembly: Connect the cable from the exterior keypad to the interior assembly. Insert 4 AAA batteries into the interior assembly. Secure the interior knob to the door with the provided screws.
- Attach Interior Cover: Place the interior cover over the interior knob assembly.

Setup and Programming
The iulock IU-30 allows for easy programming of user codes and various operational modes. The default Master Code is typically 123456. It is highly recommended to change the Master Code immediately after installation.
Adding User Code
You can assign up to 50 customizable 1-15 digit user codes.

Deleting All User Codes
This function will remove all programmed user codes. The Master Code cannot be deleted, only changed.

Silent Mode
Enable or disable the beeper sound for quiet operation.

Passage Mode
Activate Passage Mode when you want the door to remain unlocked for continuous access. The door will not lock until any button is pressed (Easy Passage) or it will remain unlocked until manually locked (Advanced Passage).

Operating Instructions
Unlocking with Passcode
- Enter your 1-15 digit user code on the keypad.
- Press the '✓' button.
- If the code is correct, the knob will unlock. Turn the knob to open the door.
Unlocking with Key
Insert the provided key into the keyhole and turn to unlock the door. This provides a mechanical backup in case of battery depletion or electronic malfunction.
Auto-Lock Function
The lock can be programmed to automatically lock after a set period (Auto-Lock Timer). This feature ensures your door is always secured after closing.
Code Protect (Anti-Peep)
To prevent others from guessing your code, you can enter random digits before or after your actual passcode. As long as the correct code sequence is embedded within the entered digits, the lock will open.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: The lock uses 4 AAA batteries. Replace them when the low battery alarm sounds.
- Cleaning: Wipe the keypad and knob with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Weather Resistance: The lock is IP65 weather resistant and designed to operate in extreme temperatures (-22°F to 176°F). However, prolonged exposure to direct heavy rain or extreme conditions may require additional protective measures.
- USB Backup: In case of complete battery depletion, use a Type-C USB cable to provide temporary power and unlock the door.
Troubleshooting
- Lock Not Responding: Check battery levels and replace if necessary. Use the USB backup power feature.
- Incorrect Code Entry: Ensure you are entering the correct user code or Master Code. If using Code Protect, ensure the correct sequence is maintained.
- Knob Not Turning: Verify the lock is fully disengaged. If in Passage Mode, ensure it hasn't been manually locked.
