Product Overview

The YINMIK YK-P01 is a precise digital pH meter designed for accurate measurement of pH and temperature in various liquids. Setup

Battery Installation:

1. If batteries are not pre-installed, locate the battery compartment at the top of the meter.
2. Slide open the battery case.
3. Insert 3 LR44 button cell batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery case securely.

Initial Preparation:

1. Remove the protective cap from the bottom of the pH meter.
2. Rinse the electrode with distilled water before first use.
3. Gently blot dry with a clean tissue. Do not rub.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Measurement:

1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the meter. The backlight will illuminate.
2. Immerse the electrode into the solution to be tested. Ensure the electrode is fully submerged.
3. Gently stir the solution and wait for the reading to stabilize. The display will show both pH and temperature.
4. To hold the reading on the screen, short press the HOLD/TEMP button. The reading will be locked. Press again to release.
5. To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units, long press the HOLD/TEMP button.
6. After use, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the meter.
7. Rinse the electrode with distilled water and replace the protective cap.

Calibration

Regular calibration ensures the accuracy of your pH meter. The YK-P01 supports 3-point automatic calibration.

Preparation of Calibration Solutions:

• Dissolve each pH buffer powder (4.00, 7.00, 10.01) in 250ml of distilled water to create the calibration solutions.
• Store solutions in clean, airtight containers.

Calibration Procedure:

1. Turn on the pH meter.
2. Rinse the electrode with distilled water and blot dry.
3. Immerse the electrode into the pH 7.00 buffer solution.
4. Long press the CAL button for 5 seconds until the display shows "CAL" and then "7.00". The meter will automatically recognize the buffer and begin calibration.
5. Wait for the reading to stabilize and for the display to show "END" or a stable pH 7.00 reading, indicating successful calibration.
6. Rinse the electrode with distilled water.
7. Next, immerse the electrode into the pH 4.00 buffer solution.
8. Long press the CAL button again. The meter will automatically recognize the buffer and calibrate to 4.00.
9. Wait for stabilization.
10. Rinse the electrode with distilled water.
11. Finally, immerse the electrode into the pH 10.01 buffer solution.
12. Long press the CAL button. The meter will automatically recognize the buffer and calibrate to 10.01.
13. Wait for stabilization.
14. After completing all three points, rinse the electrode with distilled water and replace the protective cap.

Note: Calibration should be performed regularly, especially if the meter is used frequently, if readings are inconsistent, or after prolonged storage.

Maintenance

Electrode Care:

• Always rinse the electrode with distilled water before and after each use.
• Do not touch the glass bulb of the electrode, as oils from your skin can affect accuracy.
• If the electrode becomes dry, soak it in distilled water or a pH 7.00 buffer solution for at least 30 minutes before use.

Storage:

• Always replace the protective cap after use to keep the electrode moist.
• Store the meter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Battery Replacement:

• When the display becomes dim or the meter does not turn on, it's time to replace the batteries.
• Follow the battery installation steps in the "Setup" section.
