Setup
Your PEUGEOT Paris Nature Black Salt Mill comes pre-filled with dry natural crystal salt, ready for immediate use. If refilling is required, follow these steps:
- Unscrew the Top Knob: Locate the metal knob at the very top of the mill. Turn it counter-clockwise to loosen and remove it.
- Remove the Top Cap: Carefully lift off the wooden top cap of the mill.

- Fill with Salt: Pour dry natural crystal salt into the body of the mill. Ensure the salt grains are no larger than 4mm to prevent jamming the mechanism. Do not overfill.
- Replace Cap and Knob: Place the wooden top cap back onto the mill, aligning it with the central rod. Screw the metal knob back on clockwise until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life of your Peugeot salt mill.
- Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the mill with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the mill in water, as this can damage the wood and the grinding mechanism.
- Cleaning the Grinding Mechanism: The steel grinding mechanism is designed for durability. If salt residue builds up, you can gently brush it away with a small, dry brush.
