Installation Procedure:

  1. Install the Valve Body: Follow the instructions provided with your Moen Posi-Temp valve body (sold separately or included in some kits) to properly install it within the wall. Ensure it is level and securely mounted.
  2. Connect Water Lines: Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the appropriate inlets on the valve body. Use plumber's tape on threaded connections to prevent leaks.
  3. Install Tub Spout: Apply plumber's tape to the tub spout pipe coming from the wall. Thread the tub spout onto the pipe and tighten securely. Ensure the spout is facing downwards.
  4. Install Shower Arm and Flange: Apply plumber's tape to the shower arm threads. Thread the shower arm into the fitting in the wall. Slide the shower arm flange over the shower arm until it sits flush against the wall.
  5. Install Showerhead: Thread the showerhead onto the shower arm. Hand-tighten, then use an adjustable wrench to tighten an additional quarter turn. Do not overtighten.
  6. Install Handheld Shower Hose and Dock: Connect one end of the 60" kink-free hose to the handheld showerhead and the other end to the diverter on the tub spout or a separate wall elbow if applicable. Mount the Magnetix™ docking bracket to the wall at a comfortable height using the provided hardware.
  7. Install Trim Plate and Handle: Secure the trim plate over the valve body using the provided screws. Install the handle onto the valve stem, ensuring it operates smoothly.
  8. Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for leaks. If leaks are present, turn off the water supply and re-tighten connections.

Operating Instructions

Temperature and Flow Control:

  • The single handle controls both water temperature and flow.
  • Rotate the handle counter-clockwise to increase water flow and adjust temperature from cold to hot.
  • Rotate clockwise to decrease flow and adjust temperature from hot to cold.

Diverter Operation:

  • To switch water flow from the tub spout to the showerhead (or handheld shower), pull up the diverter knob located on the tub spout.
  • To return water flow to the tub spout, push the diverter knob down.

Maintenance and Care

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the long-lasting beauty and performance of your Moen Ronan faucet.

  • Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
  • Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the Spot Resist™ Brushed Nickel finish.
  • Aerator Maintenance: If water flow decreases, the aerator on the showerhead may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator, clean any debris, and reassemble.
