Setup

1. Connecting the Keyboard

Locate an available USB port on your computer.
Plug the integrated USB cable from the ROCCAT Vulcan II Max keyboard into the USB port.
The keyboard will automatically be detected by your operating system.

2. Attaching the Palm Rest

Align the translucent silicone palm rest with the front edge of the keyboard.
The palm rest attaches magnetically or via alignment pins. Gently push it into place until it is securely seated.

3. Software Installation (ROCCAT Swarm)

For full customization and advanced features, download the ROCCAT Swarm software from the official ROCCAT website.
Install the software by following the on-screen instructions.
After installation, launch Swarm to configure lighting, key assignments, macros, and update firmware.

Operating the Keyboard

Key Features

TITAN II Optical Mechanical Switches: The keyboard features smooth linear optical switches designed for rapid actuation and durability.
Smart Keys: 24 multi-function keys are equipped with dedicated LEDs that illuminate to indicate when secondary functions are active.
Easy-Shift[+]: Activate Game Mode to utilize Easy-Shift[+] technology, which allows you to assign a second programmable function to compatible keys. This effectively doubles the number of assignable functions.
Dedicated Media Controls: Use the dedicated media keys and the volume dial for convenient control over audio and media playback.
AIMO RGB Lighting: The keyboard features advanced AIMO RGB lighting. Customize lighting effects and colors using the ROCCAT Swarm software. The translucent palm rest enhances the lighting display.
On-board Profiles: Store up to 4 user profiles directly on the keyboard for quick access to your personalized settings without software.
Keycap Compatibility: The keyboard is compatible with third-party keycaps, allowing for further customization.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Keyboard

Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
Use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps and switches. The open design of the switches facilitates easy cleaning.
Wipe the keycaps and keyboard surface with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
The translucent palm rest can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

Keycap Care

While the keycaps are durable, prolonged use may lead to wear. Replacement keycaps can be sourced from third-party vendors if desired.
When replacing keycaps, gently pull them straight up to remove and push new ones straight down to install.

Troubleshooting

Keyboard Not Responding

Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port.
Restart your computer.
Check the ROCCAT Swarm software for any error messages or driver issues.

RGB Lighting Issues

Verify that the ROCCAT Swarm software is running and updated.
Check lighting settings within Swarm to ensure effects are enabled and configured correctly.
Perform a firmware update through the Swarm software if available.

Software (Swarm) Not Detecting Keyboard

Ensure the keyboard is properly connected to the computer.
Reinstall the ROCCAT Swarm software.
Check for any conflicting software or drivers on your system.
