5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your wireless trigger system:

  1. Install Batteries (if applicable): The product description does not specify battery requirements. If your units require batteries, insert them according to the polarity markings.
  2. Mount the Transmitter: Slide the transmitter unit onto your camera's hot shoe. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Connect the Receiver to Flash:
    • Connect the power cable of the receiver unit to a suitable power outlet.
    • Identify the sync port on your studio flash light.
    • Connect the sync cable from the receiver to the flash unit. If your flash unit has a 6.35mm port, use the provided 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter.
  4. Select Channels: Both the transmitter and receiver units have channel selectors (typically switches labeled 1-4). Set both units to the same channel to ensure proper communication. For example, if the transmitter is set to channel 1, the receiver must also be set to channel 1.

6. Operating Instructions

Once setup is complete, operate the system as follows:

  1. Power On: Ensure both your camera and studio flash unit are powered on. The receiver unit should also be powered on (if it has a separate power switch).
  2. Test Trigger: Most transmitters have a test button. Press this button to manually trigger the flash and confirm the connection. The flash should fire.
  3. Take Photos: With the system properly configured and tested, you can now take photos. When your camera's shutter is released, the transmitter will send a signal to the receiver, triggering the studio flash.
  4. Change Channels (if needed): If you experience interference from other wireless devices, change the channel on both the transmitter and receiver to a different matching channel (e.g., from 1 to 2).

7. Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your wireless trigger system:
