5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your DAYBETTER Under Cabinet LED Strip Lights:
5.1 Preparation
- Clean the Surface: Ensure the installation surface (e.g., under cabinet, shelf) is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. This is crucial for the adhesive to bond properly.
- Plan Layout: Determine the desired layout for your LED strips. The strips are pre-cut into 6 segments and can be connected end-to-end or using the provided extension cables and U-connectors.
- Test Before Adhering: Connect all LED strips, the dimmer unit, and the power adapter. Plug it in to ensure all lights function correctly before permanent installation.
5.2 Connecting the LED Strips
- Each LED strip has connectors at both ends. Connect them directly or use the provided extension cables and U-connectors to bridge gaps or navigate corners.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and secure to prevent loose connections.
- The LED strips are cuttable at designated marks (indicated by copper pads). Only cut at these marks to avoid damaging the circuit. Note: 3-pin connectors are not included for re-connecting cut segments.
