Installation

The LUTEC Solar Lamp Post Light is designed for easy installation on a 3-inch diameter pole or pier mount (not included). Follow these steps for proper setup:

1. Choose a Location: Select an outdoor location that receives at least 6-8 hours of direct, unobstructed sunlight daily. Avoid areas under heavy shade from trees or buildings, as this will affect charging efficiency.
2. Prepare the Mounting Surface: Ensure your existing 3-inch diameter lamp post or pier mount base is stable and securely installed.
3. Assemble the Light Head: If not already assembled, carefully attach the glass panels and bulbs into the light head according to the included diagram (refer to the PDF manual for detailed diagrams).
4. Mount the Light Head: Place the solar lamp post light head onto the top of your 3-inch diameter pole or pier mount base. Secure it using the provided screws or appropriate fasteners for your specific pole/pier (fasteners for pole/pier not included). Ensure it is firmly seated and level.
5. Activate the Light: Locate the ON/OFF switch, typically found near the base of the light head or under the solar panel. Switch it to the "ON" position. The light will now automatically charge during the day and illuminate at night.

• Automatic Operation: After switching the light to the "ON" position during installation, the integrated dusk-to-dawn sensor will manage its operation. The light will charge its internal battery during daylight hours.
• Night Illumination: As ambient light levels decrease at dusk, the sensor will detect darkness and automatically turn on the light. It will remain illuminated for approximately 6-8 hours, depending on the amount of charge received during the day.
• Daylight Shutdown: At dawn, as ambient light levels increase, the sensor will detect sufficient light and automatically turn off the light to conserve energy and begin recharging.
• Manual Override: If you wish to turn off the light completely, locate the ON/OFF switch and set it to the "OFF" position. This will prevent charging and illumination.
