5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

The BSIDE X1A requires two 1.5V AAA batteries for operation.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the multimeter pen.
2. Use the provided screwdriver to loosen the screw securing the battery cover.
3. Remove the battery cover.
4. Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw securely.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the red power button (U) to turn the device on or off.

6.2 Mode Selection

The BSIDE X1A operates in two main modes. Press the blue 'SET' button to cycle through available measurement functions (e.g., Voltage, Resistance, Frequency, NCV).

6.3 Measuring DC/AC Voltage

1. Turn on the multimeter.
2. Select the appropriate voltage measurement mode (DC V or AC V) using the 'SET' button. The display will indicate the selected mode.
3. Connect the red test lead to the positive (+) terminal of the circuit and the black test lead to the negative (-) terminal or ground.
4. Read the voltage value displayed on the screen.

6.4 Measuring Resistance

1. Ensure the circuit is de-energized before measuring resistance.
2. Turn on the multimeter and select the resistance measurement mode (Ω).
3. Connect the test leads across the component or circuit section where resistance is to be measured.
4. Read the resistance value displayed on the screen.

6.5 Measuring Frequency

1. Turn on the multimeter and select the frequency measurement mode (Hz).
2. Connect the test leads to the circuit where frequency is to be measured.

6.6 Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection
