Operating Instructions

Connecting to Devices

The moofit Cadence Sensor supports both ANT+ and Bluetooth connectivity for versatile use.

  • ANT+ Connection: To connect to a bike computer or indoor trainer, navigate to the sensor pairing menu on your device and select the moofit Cadence Sensor. Spin the crank arm to activate the sensor and ensure it is detected.
  • Bluetooth Connection: For smartphone apps, open your preferred fitness application (e.g., Wahoo Fitness, Zwift, Peloton iOS). Do not pair the sensor directly through your phone's Bluetooth settings. Instead, pair it within the app's sensor or device management section. Spin the crank arm to activate the sensor for detection.

Important Note for Wahoo App Users:

Due to brand connection restrictions, you cannot pair two moofit sensors (e.g., a cadence sensor and a speed sensor) with the Wahoo app simultaneously. Only one moofit sensor can be paired at a time, unless using Wahoo's own brand sensors.

Real-Time Data Tracking

Once connected, the sensor will transmit real-time cadence data to your paired device or application, allowing you to monitor your pedaling rate during your rides.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The moofit Cadence Sensor uses a CR2032 battery. When the sensor's performance degrades or it no longer connects, it may be time to replace the battery. Follow the steps outlined in the "Battery Installation" section under Setup to replace the battery.

Cleaning

The sensor is IP67 waterproof, meaning it is protected against dust and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. To clean the sensor, simply wipe it with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Troubleshooting

  • Sensor not turning on or connecting:

    - Ensure the insulating sheet under the battery has been removed. Reinstall the battery to activate the sensor. The red LED will flash briefly.

    - Make sure the battery is correctly inserted and has sufficient charge.

    - Spin the crank arm to wake up the sensor before attempting to pair.

  • Cannot find the sensor in the app:

    - Do not pair the sensor via your phone's general Bluetooth settings. Always pair it directly within the fitness application you intend to use (e.g., Zwift, Wahoo Fitness, Peloton).

    - Ensure the app is compatible with the moofit sensor (e.g., Wahoo Fitness, Endomondo, E-lite HRV, Uhr, RideWithGPS, Cyclemeter, Peloton (iOS), Openrider).

  • Sensor light flashes for only a few seconds then goes off:

    - This is normal behavior. The light is designed to flash only for a few seconds when the battery is installed or when the sensor is activated, to conserve battery life.

  • Sensor does not provide distance data:

    - This moofit sensor is a cadence-only sensor and does not provide distance data. For distance, a separate speed sensor is required.

  • Issues with Wahoo app pairing:

    - The Wahoo app has brand connection restrictions. You can only pair one moofit sensor at a time. If you have both a moofit cadence and speed sensor, you will not be able to use both simultaneously with the Wahoo app.

  • Can the sensor be attached to a shoe?

    - Attaching the sensor to your shoe is not recommended as it may affect the accuracy of the data.
