2. Important Safety Instructions
- Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
- Ensure the voltage matches the rating label on the appliance.
- Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or any part of the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use, before cleaning, or before adding/removing parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- Place the ice maker on a flat, stable surface, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

4.1. Components

- ON/OFF Button: Powers the unit on or off.
- SELECT Button: Used to choose ice cube size (Small/Large) or activate the cleaning function.
- ADD WATER Indicator: Illuminates when the water reservoir needs refilling.
- ICE FULL Indicator: Illuminates when the ice basket is full.
- SMALL ICE Indicator: Lights up when small ice cube size is selected.
- LARGE ICE Indicator: Lights up when large ice cube size is selected.
- CLEAN Indicator: Lights up when the self-cleaning function is active.

5. Setup
5.1. Unpacking and Placement
- Remove all packaging materials and tape.
- Place the ice maker on a level, stable countertop, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Ensure there is at least 15 cm (6 inches) of clear space around the unit for proper ventilation.
5.2. Initial Cleaning
Before first use, it is recommended to clean the ice maker:
- Open the transparent lid and remove the ice basket.
- Clean the interior with a soft cloth and warm water with a mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly and drain any water through the drain plug at the bottom.
- Dry all parts before reassembling.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Adding Water

- Ensure the drain plug is securely closed.
- Open the transparent lid.
- Pour purified water into the water reservoir. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line (2.1L capacity).
- Close the transparent lid.
6.2. Making Ice

- Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the unit. The 'POWER' indicator will light up.
- Press the SELECT button to choose your desired ice cube size: 'S' for Small or 'L' for Large. The corresponding indicator will light up.
- The ice maker will begin its cycle. It produces 9 ice cubes in approximately 7-8 minutes.
- When the ice basket is full, the 'ICE FULL' indicator will light up, and the unit will pause operation. Remove ice to resume production.
- If the 'ADD WATER' indicator lights up, the water reservoir is low. Add more water and the unit will automatically resume operation after a short delay.
6.3. Ice Cube Sizes

The KUMIO ICM-1215 offers two sizes of bullet-shaped ice cubes:
- Small (S): Approximately 22mm x 24mm.
- Large (L): Approximately 25mm x 29mm.
7. Self-Cleaning Function

The ice maker features a convenient self-cleaning function:
- Ensure the water reservoir is filled with clean water.
- Press the 'Clean' button on the control panel.
- Then, press the 'Start/Stop' (ON/OFF) button to initiate the 150-second automatic cleaning cycle. The 'CLEAN' indicator will light up.
- Once the cleaning cycle is complete, drain the water from the reservoir using the drain plug at the bottom of the unit.
8. Maintenance
8.1. Regular Cleaning
- Clean the interior of the ice maker regularly, especially if it is not used for extended periods.
- Use a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads.
- Ensure all surfaces are dry before closing the lid or operating the unit.
8.2. Draining and Storage
- When storing the ice maker, or if it will not be used for a long time, ensure all water is drained from the reservoir.
- Unplug the unit, open the drain plug, and allow all water to flow out.
- Dry the interior thoroughly before closing the lid and storing the unit in a cool, dry place.
