Setup
1. Power Supply
The machine can be powered by either the included AC adapter or 4 x AA batteries (not included).
- AC Adapter: Insert the small end of the AC adapter into the power input jack on the back of the machine. Plug the other end into a standard AC 100-240V wall outlet.
- Batteries: Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the machine. Insert 4 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.

2. Foot Pedal Connection
For hands-free speed control, connect the foot pedal. Insert the foot pedal plug into the foot pedal jack on the back of the machine.
3. Threading the Machine
Proper threading is crucial for good stitch quality. Follow these steps carefully:
a. Winding the Bobbin
- Place an empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
- Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
- Guide the thread through the bobbin winding tension disc.
- Wrap the thread around the bobbin a few times clockwise.
- Push the bobbin winder spindle to the right.
- Turn on the machine (or press the foot pedal) to start winding. Stop when the bobbin is full.
- Cut the thread and push the spindle back to the left. Remove the wound bobbin.
b. Inserting the Bobbin (Lower Thread)
- Slide open the bobbin cover plate located on the needle plate.
- Insert the wound bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread unwinds counter-clockwise.
- Guide the thread through the tension spring slot.
- Leave about 10-15 cm of thread hanging out. Close the bobbin cover.
c. Threading the Upper Thread
- Raise the presser foot lifter.
- Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
- Guide the thread through the first thread guide (usually at the top).
- Bring the thread down through the tension discs.
- Guide the thread up and through the take-up lever (from right to left).
- Bring the thread down through the remaining thread guides.
- Thread the needle from front to back. Use the needle threader if needed.
- Pull about 15 cm of thread through the needle eye.

d. Bringing Up the Bobbin Thread
- Hold the upper thread gently with your left hand.
- Turn the handwheel towards you (counter-clockwise) to lower the needle into the needle plate and then raise it back up.
- As the needle rises, it will catch the bobbin thread, forming a loop.
- Pull the loop up with your fingers or a pair of tweezers.
- Pull both the upper and lower threads under the presser foot and towards the back of the machine, leaving about 10-15 cm of thread.
Operating the Machine
1. Stitch Selection
Your machine offers 12 different stitch patterns. Rotate the stitch selector dial to choose the desired stitch. Refer to the stitch guide on the machine body for visual representation of each stitch.
2. Starting to Sew
- Place the fabric under the presser foot.
- Lower the presser foot using the presser foot lifter.
- Ensure the needle is in the highest position by turning the handwheel towards you.
- Select your desired speed using the L/H speed control switch.
- To start sewing, either press the foot pedal or slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.

3. Stopping and Finishing a Seam
- To stop sewing, release the foot pedal or slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
- Turn the handwheel towards you to raise the needle to its highest position.
- Raise the presser foot lifter.
- Pull the fabric gently towards the back of the machine.
- Cut the threads using the thread cutter located on the side of the machine or with scissors, leaving about 10 cm of thread.
4. Reverse Stitch
To reinforce the beginning and end of a seam, press and hold the reverse stitch button while sewing. Release the button to sew forward again.
5. Thread Tension Adjustment
The thread tension dial controls the balance between the upper and lower threads. Adjust as needed for different fabrics and threads. A balanced stitch will have both threads meeting evenly between the fabric layers.
- If the upper thread lies flat on the fabric surface, increase the upper thread tension (turn dial to a higher number).
- If the lower thread lies flat on the fabric surface, decrease the upper thread tension (turn dial to a lower number).

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your sewing machine.
- Cleaning: Use a soft brush or lint brush to remove lint and dust from the bobbin area and feed dogs after each use. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Needle Replacement: Replace the needle regularly, especially if it becomes bent, dull, or if you experience skipped stitches. Loosen the needle clamp screw, remove the old needle, insert a new one with the flat side facing the back, and tighten the screw.
- Storage: When not in use, unplug the machine and store it in a dry, dust-free environment. It is recommended to cover the machine to protect it from dust.
Troubleshooting
