Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the underside of the scale.
  2. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Initial Placement

Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate measurements. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on. The display will show "88888" then "0.0g" or "0.0oz".
  • Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to turn the scale off.

Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the contents.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0g" or "0.0oz".
  3. Add items to the container to measure their net weight.

Unit Conversion (MODE button)

Press the MODE button to cycle through available weighing units: grams (g) and ounces (oz).

Timer Function

The built-in timer is useful for monitoring brewing times, especially for coffee.

  1. Press the TIME button to start the timer. The timer will count up to a maximum of 10 minutes.
  2. Press the TIME button again to pause the timer.
  3. Press and hold the TIME button to reset the timer to zero.

Calibration

To ensure accuracy, the scale can be re-calibrated using a 500g calibration weight (not included).

  1. With the scale turned off, press and hold the CAL button (often integrated with another button, refer to button labels).
  2. The display will show a calibration prompt.
  3. Place a 500g calibration weight on the center of the platform when prompted.
  4. The scale will complete the calibration process automatically.

Auto-Off Feature

The scale features an automatic shut-off function to conserve battery life. If left inactive for approximately 3 minutes, the scale will power off automatically.

  • Wipe the scale surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
