Setup
Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the underside of the scale.
- Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Initial Placement
Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate measurements. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on. The display will show "88888" then "0.0g" or "0.0oz".
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to turn the scale off.
Tare Function
The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the contents.
- Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
- Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0g" or "0.0oz".
- Add items to the container to measure their net weight.
Unit Conversion (MODE button)
Press the MODE button to cycle through available weighing units: grams (g) and ounces (oz).
Timer Function
The built-in timer is useful for monitoring brewing times, especially for coffee.
- Press the TIME button to start the timer. The timer will count up to a maximum of 10 minutes.
- Press the TIME button again to pause the timer.
- Press and hold the TIME button to reset the timer to zero.

Calibration
To ensure accuracy, the scale can be re-calibrated using a 500g calibration weight (not included).
- With the scale turned off, press and hold the CAL button (often integrated with another button, refer to button labels).
- The display will show a calibration prompt.
- Place a 500g calibration weight on the center of the platform when prompted.
- The scale will complete the calibration process automatically.

Auto-Off Feature
