2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, or injury, this product must be used in accordance with the following instructions.

• Do not use with infants, children, incapacitated persons, or anyone insensitive to heat.
• Do not use if the mattress pad is wet.
• Do not use with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord or plug is damaged, contact customer support immediately.
• Do not leave the controller covered when in use to avoid overheating. Ensure adequate ventilation around the controller.
• Do not use pins or other metallic objects with this product. They may damage the wiring and cause electric shock or fire.
• Do not use this product on a waterbed.

4. Setup Instructions

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heated mattress pad from its packaging.
2. Placement: Lay the mattress pad flat on your mattress with the connection ports positioned at the foot of the bed. Ensure the pad is centered and smooth.
3. Secure: The deep pocket design with 360-degree elastic will help secure the pad to your mattress. Ensure it fits snugly around the mattress corners, accommodating mattresses up to 17 inches thick.
4. Connect Controllers:
   • Locate the connection ports at the foot of the mattress pad.
   • Plug the controller(s) securely into the corresponding port(s) on the mattress pad. Ensure a firm connection.
   • For Queen and larger sizes, two controllers are provided for independent heating zones. Connect each controller to its respective side.
5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord(s) from the controller(s) into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. For dual controllers, ensure each controller is plugged into a separate outlet or a suitable power strip, as they require individual power.
6. Position Controllers: Place the controllers in an easily accessible location, such as on a nightstand, ensuring the cords are not pinched or covered. The 11-foot controller cord allows for easy reach.

5. Operating Instructions

Controller Features:

• ON/OFF Button: Powers the mattress pad on or off.
• HEAT Button: Cycles through 10 heat settings (1-10). Use '+' and '-' buttons to adjust.
• TIMER Button: Sets the auto shut-off timer from 1 to 12 hours. Use '+' and '-' buttons to adjust.
• LCD Display: Shows current heat setting and remaining timer duration.

Using Your Heated Mattress Pad:

1. Turn On: Press the "ON/OFF" button. The display will illuminate, and the pad will default to a low heat setting (e.g., setting 1) and an 8-hour timer.
2. Adjust Heat: Press the "HEAT" button, then use the "+" or "-" buttons to select your desired heat level from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest). The temperature range is approximately 78°F - 98°F, varying with ambient room temperature.
3. Set Timer: Press the "TIMER" button, then use the "+" or "-" buttons to set the desired auto shut-off time from 1 to 12 hours. The timer starts counting down from the moment it is set.
4. Pre-heating: For best results, turn on the mattress pad 10-15 minutes before getting into bed to allow it to pre-heat.
5. Turn Off: Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn off the mattress pad. It will also automatically shut off once the set timer expires.

Note: For Queen and larger sizes, each controller operates its respective side independently. Adjust settings for each side as desired.

6. Care and Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your Serta Heated Mattress Pad.

Washing Instructions:

1. Disconnect: Always disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and detach the controller(s) from the mattress pad before washing.
2. Pre-soak (Optional): For best results, pre-soak the mattress pad for 15 minutes in cold water with a small amount of mild detergent.
3. Wash: Machine wash on a delicate or gentle cycle in cold water. Use a minimal amount of mild, non-bleach detergent. Do not use bleach.
4. Rinse: Rinse thoroughly on a normal cycle.
5. Spin: Spin dry on a normal cycle to remove excess water. Remove immediately after the spin cycle.

Drying Instructions:

1. Tumble Dry: Tumble dry on a low or medium heat setting for approximately 5 minutes.
2. Air Dry: Remove from the dryer and gently stretch the mattress pad to its original size. Hang over a clothesline or shower rod to finish drying. Do not use clothespins, as they may damage the internal wiring.
3. Do Not Iron: Never iron the heated mattress pad.
4. Ensure Dry: Ensure the mattress pad is completely dry before reconnecting the controller(s) and plugging it back into an electrical outlet.
