- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or toaster in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

- Do not use outdoors.

- To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- Oversize foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted into a toaster as they may involve a risk of fire or electric shock.
- A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
- Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
- Always unplug the toaster before removing bread.
- Do not leave the toaster unattended during operation.
3. Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging. Remove all packaging materials, labels, and stickers.
- Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or walls. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Power Connection: Unwind the power cord and plug it into a suitable electrical outlet (240V).
- Initial Operation: Before toasting bread for consumption, operate the toaster empty for a few cycles at the highest browning setting (8) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this initial use; this is normal and will dissipate. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your toaster.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Crumb Tray: The toaster features an easy-to-clean crumb tray. Pull out the crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster, empty the crumbs, and wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Ensure it is dry before reinserting.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Interior: Do not insert any objects into the toasting slots to clean them. If bread becomes jammed, unplug the toaster and carefully remove the bread after it has cooled.
- Storage: The power cord can be stored neatly at the base of the toaster to keep your countertop tidy.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your toaster, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Toaster does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet malfunction; circuit breaker tripped. | Ensure the toaster is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check your household circuit breaker. |
| Bread is not toasting evenly. | Inconsistent bread thickness; crumb buildup. | Ensure bread slices are of uniform thickness. Clean the crumb tray regularly. |
| Toast is too light or too dark. | Browning setting is incorrect for bread type. | Adjust the browning control knob to a higher or lower setting as needed. Different types of bread may require different settings. |
| Toast lever does not stay down. | Toaster is not plugged in; no bread in slots. | Ensure the toaster is plugged in. The lever will only lock down if the toaster is powered and bread is inserted. |
| Smoke coming from toaster. | Food stuck in slots; excessive crumbs; initial use residue. | Immediately unplug the toaster. Remove any stuck food or clean the crumb tray. If it's the first use, this is normal. If smoke persists, discontinue use. |
