Introduction
This instruction manual provides detailed guidance for using your K&F Concept Professional Full Frame Sensor Cleaning Kit. The kit is designed for effective and safe cleaning of digital camera sensors, lenses, viewfinders, and camera bodies. It includes specialized tools to help maintain the optimal performance and image quality of your photographic equipment.
The kit features a new double-tipped swab design for efficient cleaning and a 20ml sensor cleaner solution that is ammonia-free, toxic-free, and low in VOCs, making it safe for both CCD and CMOS image sensors. The soft, flexible swabs are engineered to spread pressure evenly, preventing damage to delicate surfaces.
What's in the Box

Safety Information and General Precautions
- Always wear anti-static gloves during cleaning to prevent secondary contamination from skin oils or dust.
- Ensure your camera's battery level is above 80% before initiating sensor cleaning to avoid circuit abnormalities or damage from unexpected power loss.
- Perform cleaning in a dust-free environment whenever possible.
- Never reuse cleaning swabs. Each swab is designed for single use to ensure maximum effectiveness and prevent re-depositing debris.
- Apply cleaning fluid sparingly. Excessive fluid can lead to water spots or streaks.
- Avoid touching the sensor or lens surfaces directly with your fingers.
Preparation for Sensor Cleaning
- Wear Anti-Static Gloves: Put on the provided anti-static gloves to prevent contamination.
- Check Sensor for Dirt:
- Set your camera to AV mode.
- Adjust the aperture to F16.
- Switch to Manual Focus (MF).
- Adjust the focusing distance to infinity.
- Set the white balance to Auto.
- Set the exposure compensation to 0.
- Set the ISO to 200.
- Take a photo against a white wall or white paper.
- Enlarge the photo on a computer and carefully check for black spots or dirt. Note that the actual position of dust on the sensor will be a central symmetry transformation of its appearance in the image (e.g., dust in the upper right of the image corresponds to the lower left on the sensor).
- Set Camera to Manual Cleaning Mode: Access your camera's menu and select the sensor cleaning function. For DSLR cameras, wait for the reflex mirror to lift. This step is not required for mirrorless cameras.

Sensor Cleaning Instructions
- Remove Loose Dust: Use a manual air blower (not included) to gently blow off any loose dust particles from the sensor surface. This prevents hard particles from scratching the sensor during the wet cleaning process.
- Prepare the Swab: Open one vacuum-sealed sensor cleaning swab. Put one drop of sensor cleaning fluid onto the tip of the swab and wait for approximately 10 seconds for the fluid to spread evenly across the swab head.
- Grip the Swab: Hold the swab body with the K&F Concept logo between your thumb and index finger to ensure a stable grip.
- Clean the Sensor: Gently slide the swab from one side of the sensor to the other (e.g., left to right) with a single, smooth motion. Flip the swab over to the clean side and slide it again in the same direction (left to right) to pick up any remaining residue.

Important: If too much cleaning fluid causes water spots, tear off a new cleaning swab and use it dry to wipe the sensor again. Do not add more fluid. The cleaning swabs should not be reused to ensure cleaning effectiveness and prevent sensor scratches from debris.

Viewfinder Cleaning
- Blow Off Loose Dust: Use an air blower to remove any loose dust from the viewfinder.
- Wipe Stains: Use a microfiber cloth (not included in this kit) or the triangular tip of a cleaning pen (not included in this kit) to gently wipe off oil stains and fingerprints from the viewfinder.
Lens and LCD Screen Cleaning
- Remove and Cap Lens: Carefully remove the lens from the camera body and immediately close the camera body cap to protect the sensor.
- Blow Off Lens Dust: Use an air blower to remove large dust particles from the lens surface.
- Clean Lens with Fluid: Spray a small amount of cleaning fluid (from the kit or a dedicated lens cleaner) onto a clean microfiber cloth (not included in this kit). Wipe the lens from the inside out. It is recommended to use a separate, clean microfiber cloth for the lens and the LCD screen to avoid cross-contamination.
- Clean Lens Gaps: Use cotton swabs (not included in this kit) to carefully wipe any dust or debris from the gaps around the lens.
- Remove Fingerprints/Oil: Use the round tip of a cleaning pen (not included in this kit) to clean fingerprints and oil stains on the lens.
Camera Body Cleaning
- Brush Off Dust: Use the brush end of a cleaning pen (not included in this kit) to wipe dust off the camera body.
- Clean Gaps and Buttons: Use cotton swabs (not included in this kit) to wipe the gaps on the camera body, such as the hot shoe slot and buttons.
- Final Dust Removal: For thorough cleaning, you can use an electric air blower (not included in this kit) set to low or medium speed to blow off any remaining dust from the camera body.
Troubleshooting
Issue: Cleaning solution leaves visible film or residue.
Possible Causes:
- Applying too much cleaning fluid to the swab.
- Not allowing the fluid to spread evenly on the swab before cleaning.
- Reusing a swab that has already picked up debris or dried fluid.
Solutions:
- Ensure only one drop of cleaning fluid is applied to the swab. Wait 10 seconds for it to fully saturate the tip.
- After the initial wet pass, use the reverse (dry) side of the same swab, or a completely new, dry swab, for a final pass to absorb any excess fluid.
- Always use a fresh, vacuum-sealed swab for each cleaning attempt.
- If residue persists, repeat the cleaning process with a new swab and ensure minimal fluid application and proper drying time between passes.
