Safety Information
- It is recommended to retract the awning in stormy weather conditions, including strong winds (above 30mph) and heavy rain, to prevent damage and extend its lifespan.
- Install the awning at a height between 8 feet and 12 feet for optimal performance and safety.
- Handle the awning with care during assembly and retraction to avoid injury or damage to the unit.
- Ensure the installation surface is reinforced concrete, brick, or a wooden wall capable of supporting the awning's weight.
- When mounting above a patio door, ensure at least 8 inches of clearance above the door frame to prevent interference with opening and closing.
Important Note on Armrest Assembly
DO NOT
remove the safety wrap that holds the arms down until instructed. Incorrect armrest assembly can easily damage the awning. Always ensure correct direction for armrest assembly.

Step 3: Connecting Torsion Bars
Connect the torsion bars (B-1, B-2, B-3) with the left arm (L-1) and right arm (L-2). Pay close attention to the specified insertion distances: 5.91" between B-1 and L-1, and 3.94" between B-3 and L-2.

Step 4: Fabric Assembly
Two adults are required for this step. The fabric (M) has a front and a back side; the back side has a hem and should face downwards. Insert the front bar (C) into the hem of the fabric (M2) and the roller (A) into the main fabric (M1).

Step 5: Roller Support Assembly
Attach the roller support components (D, P, N-1, N-2, Q) to the roller and front bar assemblies. Ensure all parts are securely fastened. Do not fully tighten screw nuts (F) immediately; leave about 0.5" space for adjustment.

Wall Mounting
Recommended Installation Height
The recommended installation height for the awning is between 8 feet and 13 feet. Ensure the mounting location is level.

Drilling and Securing Brackets
Use a 0.55" masonry drill bit to drill the first bolt hole approximately 4" deep. Expansion bolts are for reinforced concrete and brick walls. Spare wood screws are for wooden walls; drill 0.25 inch holes for them, making the hole larger if the screw cannot fit. Secure the wall brackets (3 pieces) using the appropriate bolts/screws.

Attaching Awning to Brackets
Once the wall brackets are securely installed, lift the assembled awning and carefully place it onto the brackets. Secure the awning to the brackets using the hex screws.

Rotate the crank clockwise to extend the awning and counter-clockwise to retract it.
Adjusting the Angle
The awning's pitch/angle can be adjusted between 40° and 90°. This adjustment allows you to optimize shade coverage based on sun position.

Maintenance
- Regularly clean the fabric with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Inspect the frame and moving parts periodically for any signs of wear, damage, or loose fasteners. Tighten as necessary.
- Ensure the fabric is dry before fully retracting the awning for extended periods to prevent mold and mildew.
- Lubricate moving parts, such as the arm joints and crank mechanism, annually with a silicone-based lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
- In areas with heavy snowfall, it is recommended to remove the awning fabric during winter months to prevent damage from snow accumulation.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Awning does not extend/retract smoothly | Lack of lubrication, bent arm, or debris in mechanism. | Lubricate moving parts. Check for obstructions and clear them. Inspect arms for damage. |
| Fabric sags or collects water | Insufficient pitch/angle, loose fabric. | Adjust the awning's angle to a steeper pitch. Ensure fabric is properly tensioned. |
| Awning is unstable or wobbly | Loose wall brackets or frame connections. | Re-tighten all wall bracket bolts and frame connection screws. Ensure proper installation on a sturdy surface. |
