Installation
The SmartCoolous F31 Smart Lock is designed for easy DIY installation. A detailed installation video and a drilling diagram are included to guide you through the process. Professional assistance is available if needed.
- Prepare the Door: Use the provided drilling diagram to prepare your door for the lock body and panels. Ensure the door thickness and backset are compatible with the lock's specifications.
- Install the Mortise/Lock Body: Insert the lock body into the door edge and secure it with screws.
- Install the Exterior Panel: Route the cable from the exterior panel through the door. Position the exterior panel and secure it.
- Install the Interior Panel: Connect the cable from the exterior panel to the interior panel. Ensure the spindle is correctly aligned. Secure the interior panel to the door using the provided screws.
- Adjust Handing Switch: Locate the R/L switch on the interior panel. Adjust it according to your door's handing (left or right). If the lock is confused about its open/locked state, this switch may be incorrectly set.
- Install Batteries: Insert the required batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the interior panel.

Initial Setup and Configuration
1. App Installation and Pairing
- Download the Tuya Smart App from your device's app store.

- Enable Bluetooth and precise location services on your smartphone.
- In the Tuya App, tap the '+' icon to 'Add a device'.

2. Adding Fingerprints

3. Setting Passcodes
Multiple types of passcodes can be generated via the Tuya App:

- One-Time Passcodes: Valid for a single use.
- Periodic Passcodes: Valid during specific recurring timeframes.
- Cyclic Passcodes: Repeatable for a set number of times within a period.
To set a passcode:

4. Alexa Compatibility (Optional)

Operating Instructions
Unlocking Methods
- Fingerprint: Place a registered finger on the fingerprint reader. The lock will unlock upon successful verification.
- Keypad: Enter a valid passcode on the touch screen keypad, then press '#'. The lock will unlock.
- Tuya App: Open the Tuya App on your smartphone. If within Bluetooth range, tap the unlock icon. If connected via a gateway, you can unlock remotely.
- Mechanical Key: Insert the mechanical key into the keyhole and turn to unlock. This is for emergency access or when batteries are depleted.
Locking Methods
- Automatic Locking: The lock can be configured via the Tuya App to automatically lock after a set period once the door is closed.
- Manual Locking: From the interior, turn the thumb-turn to lock the door. From the exterior, if auto-lock is disabled, you may need to press '#' on the keypad or use the app to lock.
Passage Mode
Passage mode allows the door to remain unlocked for continuous access during specific times. This can be configured through the Tuya App.
