2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup and First Use

Before using your kettle for the first time, please follow these steps:

  1. Unpack the kettle and all accessories. Remove any packaging materials.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth.
  3. Fill the kettle with water to the MAX fill line.
  4. Place the kettle securely on the power base.
  5. Plug the power base into a standard electrical outlet.

Boiling Water

  1. Fill the kettle with fresh water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (0.9L/30oz).
  2. Place the kettle firmly on the power base.
  3. Press the START button on the control panel. The indicator light will illuminate.
  4. The 1200W heating element will rapidly boil the water (typically 3-5 minutes).
  5. The kettle will automatically shut off once the water reaches boiling point.

Temperature Control and Hold Function

The control panel allows for precise temperature settings and a hold function:

  • Use the dial on the control panel to select your desired temperature.
  • Press the °F/°C button to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius display.
  • Press the HOLD button to maintain the set temperature for up to 2 hours. This is ideal for multiple servings or specific brewing needs.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your kettle.

  • Hand Wash: The kettle body should be hand washed only. Do not immerse the power base in water.
  • Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Boil the mixture and let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Ensure the kettle and power base are completely dry before storage or next use.
