4.3 Installation Steps

1. Prepare the Wall: Ensure the wall surface where the wallbox and its roof will be mounted is clean, dry, and structurally sound.
2. Position the Wallbox: If your wallbox is not yet installed, determine its desired mounting height and position. The ABSINA Wallbox Roof is designed to be mounted directly above the wallbox.
3. Mark Drilling Points: Hold the wallbox roof in the desired position above your wallbox. Use a spirit level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the roof's mounting flanges onto the wall using a pencil.
4. Drill Holes: Using the appropriate drill bit for your wall material, drill holes at the marked points. The depth should be sufficient for the provided dowels.
5. Insert Dowels: Insert the provided dowels into the drilled holes. Ensure they are flush with the wall surface.
6. Mount the Roof: Align the pre-drilled holes of the wallbox roof with the inserted dowels. Secure the roof to the wall using the provided screws and a screwdriver. Tighten firmly but do not overtighten.
7. Verify Installation: Once mounted, gently tug on the roof to ensure it is securely fastened to the wall. Check that it provides adequate coverage for your wallbox.
