5. Setup and Installation

Careful wiring is essential for the correct and safe operation of the BMS and parallel module. Follow these steps precisely:

  1. Prepare Battery Pack: Ensure your lithium battery pack consists of 16 series cells (16S) with a nominal voltage of 60V. The DALY BMS + DALY parallel module must match the battery pack's type and string count exactly.
  2. Connect BMS to Battery: First, connect the main B- (negative) terminal of the BMS to the total negative terminal of your battery pack. Then, connect the balance wires from the BMS to each individual battery cell, starting from the lowest voltage cell (B0) up to the highest (B16). Ensure all balance lines are correctly wired to each battery cell before proceeding.
  3. Connect Parallel Module to BMS: The 1A parallel module has one wire outlet with 5 wires in total. Combine these 5 wires and connect them to the corresponding DO port of the BMS. Do not connect the parallel module to the BMS before all balance lines wire each battery cell.
  4. Connect Load/Charger: Connect your load and charger to the P- (negative) and B+ (positive) terminals of the BMS as per the wiring diagram.

The DALY parallel module is specifically designed for parallel lithium packs. It limits mutual high charging current caused by internal resistance and voltage differences between parallel lithium batteries during charging. This combination allows for safe and easy achievement of higher voltage for electrical devices.

The DALY Smart BMS offers intelligent monitoring and control via its communication functions.

6.1 Bluetooth Communication

The BMS is equipped with a Bluetooth module, allowing you to monitor battery parameters and adjust settings using the DALY BMS app on your smartphone or tablet.

  1. Download App: Download the official DALY BMS app from your device's app store.
  2. Connect Bluetooth: Ensure the Bluetooth module is connected to the BMS. Open the app and search for available BMS devices. Select your BMS to connect.
  3. Monitor Parameters: Once connected, you can view real-time battery parameters such as total voltage, individual cell voltages, charge/discharge current, temperature, and State of Charge (SOC).
  4. Adjust Settings: The app allows for specific parameter adjustments in designated areas. Refer to the app's internal help or the DALY website for detailed guidance on advanced settings.
