5. Setup

5.1 Connecting Power

Connect the supplied AC power cable to the AC power input on the rear panel of the C-200, then plug the other end into a standard wall outlet. The C-200 features a built-in AC adapter, eliminating the need for an external power brick.

5.2 Connecting Audio Sources

The C-200 offers multiple input options:

  • USB Input: Use the provided USB cable to connect the C-200 to your computer, PS4/PS5, Nintendo Switch, or mobile phone. The C-200 supports both USB 1.1 (driver-free for most devices, up to 24bit/96kHz) and USB 2.0 (requires driver installation for Windows systems, supports high-standard sampling rates).
  • Optical/Coaxial Inputs: Connect your digital audio sources (e.g., TV, CD player, game console) using optical or coaxial cables.
  • Bluetooth Input: Screw the included Bluetooth antenna onto the dedicated port on the rear panel.

5.3 Connecting Headphones or Speakers

  • Headphones: Plug your headphones into either the 6.35mm or 4.4mm balanced headphone jack on the front panel.
  • Active Speakers/Amplifier: Connect the RCA or TRS balanced outputs on the rear panel to your active speakers or a power amplifier.

6. Operation

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the multi-function knob on the front panel to power on the unit. Press and hold the knob for a few seconds to power off.

6.2 Input Selection

Rotate the multi-function knob to cycle through available inputs (USB, Optical, Coaxial, Bluetooth). The selected input will be displayed on the screen.

6.3 Volume Control

Rotate the multi-function knob to adjust the volume level. The volume range is typically from -99dB to 0dB. Adjust to a comfortable listening level before playing audio.

6.4 Menu Navigation

Press the multi-function knob to enter the menu. Rotate the knob to navigate through menu options and press again to select. Use the remote control for convenient menu navigation.

6.5 Gain Settings

The C-200 offers two gain settings for the headphone output: Low Gain (0dB) and High Gain (11dB). This can be adjusted in the menu to match the impedance and sensitivity of your headphones.

6.6 Bluetooth Pairing

To pair a Bluetooth device:

  1. Select Bluetooth as the input on the C-200.
  2. On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "SMSL C-200".
  3. Once paired, audio from your device will stream to the C-200.

8. Troubleshooting
