5. Setup
The MALYAN M300 comes fully assembled and factory-calibrated, allowing for quick setup.
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the printer and all accessories from the packaging.
- Placement: Place the printer on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated area.
- Filament Holder Installation: Attach the filament holder to the designated slot on the side of the printer.
- Power Connection: Connect the AC power adaptor to the printer and then plug the AC power cord into a suitable power outlet.
- Power On: Press the power button to turn on the printer.

- MicroSD Card Insertion: Insert the provided MicroSD card, preloaded with test models, into the MicroSD card slot.
- Initial Bed Leveling Check: While the printer is factory-calibrated, it is good practice to verify the nozzle-to-bed distance. The optimal distance should be approximately 0.1mm, similar to the thickness of a standard A4 printer paper sheet. Adjust if necessary through the printer's menu.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Loading Filament
- Place the filament spool onto the filament holder.
- Feed the filament into the Bowden extruder.
- Preheat the hotend through the printer's menu to the recommended temperature for your filament type (e.g., 190-220°C for PLA).
- Once heated, gently push the filament until it extrudes from the nozzle.

6.2 Starting a Print
The M300 supports printing from a MicroSD card or via USB connection to a computer.
- From MicroSD Card:
- Ensure the MicroSD card with your .gcode print file is inserted.
- Navigate the printer's LCD menu to "Print" and select your desired file.
- The printer will begin preheating and then start the print.
- Via USB Connection:
- Connect the printer to your Windows or Mac PC using the Micro USB cable.
- Install and configure a compatible slicing software (e.g., Cura, Repetier Host).
- Load your 3D model (.stl, .obj) into the slicing software, configure print settings, and slice it to generate a .gcode file.
- Connect to the printer through the software and initiate the print.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning the Print Bed: After each print, allow the print bed to cool down. Use the provided plastic scraper to carefully remove any residual filament or prints. A clean bed ensures optimal adhesion for subsequent prints.
- Nozzle Cleaning: Periodically check the nozzle for clogs. If a clog occurs, preheat the hotend and gently push a thin needle or cleaning filament through the nozzle to clear the obstruction.
- General Cleaning: Keep the printer free from dust and debris. Use a soft cloth to wipe down the exterior and moving parts.
- Filament Storage: Store filament in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture absorption, which can degrade print quality.
8. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues encountered during 3D printing.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Print not adhering to bed | Bed not level, bed temperature too low, dirty print surface. | Ensure the print bed is level (0.1mm nozzle gap). Increase bed temperature. Clean the print surface. |
| Poor print quality / Layer separation | Nozzle temperature too low, incorrect print speed, filament issues. | Increase nozzle temperature. Reduce print speed. Check filament for moisture or tangles. |
| No filament extrusion | Clogged nozzle, filament run out, extruder gear slip. | Clear nozzle clog. Replace filament. Check extruder gear for proper tension. |
| Printer not responding | Power issue, software error, loose connection. | Check power connections. Restart printer and computer. Ensure USB cable is secure. |
If issues persist, refer to the Warranty and Support section for assistance.
