  • Do not use the heater in bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar indoor locations where it may come into contact with water.
  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and away from the sides and rear.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children or invalids.

Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain the packaging for off-season storage.

Controls:

  • Power/Heat Setting Dial (Bottom Dial): This dial controls the power to the unit and selects the heat output.
    • Turn to 'O' for OFF.
    • Turn to 'I' for Low Heat (900 Watts).
    • Turn to 'II' for High Heat (1500 Watts).
  • Adjustable Thermostat Dial (Top Dial): This dial allows you to set your desired room temperature.

Operating Steps:

  1. Ensure the heater is plugged into a suitable outlet.
  2. Turn the Power/Heat Setting Dial to your desired heat level ('I' for Low or 'II' for High). The power indicator light (red) on the front of the heater will illuminate.
  3. Turn the Adjustable Thermostat Dial clockwise to the maximum setting. Once the room reaches your desired comfort level, slowly turn the thermostat dial counter-clockwise until you hear a 'click' and the heater turns off. The heater will now maintain this temperature by cycling on and off.
  4. To turn off the heater, turn the Power/Heat Setting Dial to 'O'. Unplug the heater when not in use.

5. Care and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and proper storage will ensure the longevity and efficient operation of your heater.

Cleaning:

  • Always turn off the heater and unplug it from the wall outlet before cleaning.
  • Allow the heater to cool down completely.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Do not immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater.
  • Clean the air intake and exhaust grilles with a vacuum cleaner brush attachment to remove dust and lint.

Storage:

When storing the heater, keep it in a cool, dry location. It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If your heater is not operating correctly, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:

  • Heater does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working 120V AC outlet.
    • Check if the Power/Heat Setting Dial is set to 'I' or 'II'.
    • Verify the heater is on a flat, stable surface. The tip-over switch on the bottom of the unit must be fully depressed for the heater to operate.
    • Check your household circuit breaker or fuse.
  • Heater turns off unexpectedly:
    • This may be due to the overheat protection system. Unplug the heater, wait 30 minutes for it to cool down, then plug it back in. Ensure there are no obstructions to the air intake or exhaust.
    • The tip-over switch may have been activated. Ensure the heater is on a stable, level surface.
    • The adjustable thermostat may have reached the set temperature. Adjust the thermostat to a higher setting if more heat is desired.
  • Insufficient heat output:
    • Ensure the Power/Heat Setting Dial is set to 'II' (High Heat).
    • Adjust the Adjustable Thermostat Dial to a higher setting.
    • Confirm the room size is within the recommended heating coverage (up to 160 sq ft).
