  • Ventilation: Allow adequate space around the refrigerator for proper ventilation. Maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance from walls and other objects to ensure efficient operation and prevent overheating.
  • Flammable Materials: Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with flammable propellants in this appliance. Keep flammable materials and vapors away from the refrigerator.
  • Child Safety: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Proper Handling: When moving the refrigerator, avoid tipping it excessively. After transport, allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in to allow refrigerants to settle.

2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape. Inspect the refrigerator for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.

2.2 Placement

Choose a location that is dry, well-ventilated, and away from direct sunlight or heat sources (e.g., stoves, radiators). The ambient temperature should be between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C). Ensure the floor is strong enough to support the refrigerator when fully loaded.

Regular cleaning helps maintain the efficiency and appearance of your refrigerator. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

  • Interior: Clean the interior with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Wipe dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soap. Dry with a clean, soft cloth.
  • Door Seal: The door seal is removable for easy cleaning. Gently pull the seal away from the door frame, wash with mild soap and water, dry, and reinsert firmly. Ensure the seal is clean and flexible for optimal energy efficiency.

4.2 Defrosting

This refrigerator features manual defrost. Frost will accumulate on the inner walls of the freezer compartment. When the frost layer becomes about 0.2 inches (5 mm) thick, it is time to defrost.

  1. Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items from the freezer and main compartment. Store them in a cooler or another refrigerator.
  3. Leave the door open to allow the frost to melt naturally. You can place towels at the bottom to absorb water. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to speed up defrosting, as this can damage the unit.
  4. Once all frost has melted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
  5. Plug the refrigerator back in and allow it to cool down for a few hours before returning food items.
