5.1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included).

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagrams inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: No programming is required. Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready for use with compatible Samsung Air Conditioners.

6. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the air conditioner's receiver when operating.

6.1. Basic Operation

• Power On/Off: Press the Power button to turn the air conditioner on or off.
• Select Mode: Press the Mode button repeatedly to cycle through available operating modes (e.g., Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, Auto). The selected mode will be displayed on the remote's screen.
• Adjust Temperature: Use the Temp ▲ (up) and Temp ▼ (down) buttons to set your desired temperature.
• Adjust Fan Speed/Direction: Use the Fan ◀ and Fan ▶ buttons to change the fan speed or adjust the louver direction.

6.2. Timer Functions

The remote control allows you to set timers for automatic power on or off.

• On Timer: Press the On Timer button. Use the Temp ▲ / ▼ buttons to set the desired time for the unit to turn on. Press Set to confirm.
• Off Timer: Press the Off Timer button. Use the Temp ▲ / ▼ buttons to set the desired time for the unit to turn off. Press Set to confirm.
• Cancel Timer: Press the Cancel button (often combined with Set) to deactivate any active timer settings.

6.3. Special Functions

• TURBO: Press the TURBO button for quick cooling or heating. The unit will operate at maximum power for a set period.
• Smart Saver: Press Smart Saver to activate an energy-efficient operating mode, which may adjust temperature and fan speed automatically to reduce power consumption.
• good' sleep: Press good' sleep to engage a mode optimized for sleeping comfort, typically involving gradual temperature adjustments and quiet operation.

7.1. Cleaning the Remote Control

To clean the remote control, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive materials, or chemical solvents, as these may damage the surface or internal components.

7.2. Battery Replacement

Replace the batteries when the remote control's display becomes dim or if the air conditioner does not respond to commands. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries. Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
