5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation and Charging

1. Unscrew Tail Cap: Gently unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight counter-clockwise.
2. Insert Battery: Insert the provided 5000mAh rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the flashlight head.
3. Secure Tail Cap: Screw the tail cap back on clockwise, ensuring it is tightened completely to maintain the waterproof seal.
4. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the battery using the included USB charger and cable. The charger indicator will typically change color (e.g., red to green) when charging is complete.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

The APLOS AP50 features a single side switch for all operations.

• To Turn On: Press the side switch once. The flashlight will turn on in the last used mode.
• To Change Modes: While the flashlight is on, press the side switch repeatedly to cycle through the modes: High → Medium → Low → Strobe.
• To Turn Off: Press and hold the side switch for approximately 2 seconds. Alternatively, double-click the switch to turn it off directly from any mode.

6.2 Battery Level Indicator

The indicator light on the side switch provides real-time battery status:

• Green Light: Battery voltage above 3.4V (High).
• Yellow Light: Battery voltage 3.2V - 3.4V (Medium).
• Red Light: Battery voltage 3.0V - 3.2V (Low).
• Red Flashing Light: Battery voltage 2.8V - 3.0V (Critically Low, recharge immediately).
• No Light: Battery voltage below 2.8V (Power off).
