1. Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup and First Use

3.1 Unpacking

  3. Using the provided filling cup, pour tap water into the water tank up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.

4. Operating the Iron

4.1 Heating the Iron

  1. Place the iron securely onto the charging base.
  2. Turn the temperature dial to the desired setting for your fabric type. Refer to garment care labels.
  3. The iron will begin to heat. The indicator light on the iron will turn off when the set temperature is reached.
  4. The iron heats up quickly, reaching approximately 180-200°C in about 50 seconds.

4.2 Cordless Ironing

Once the iron reaches the desired temperature, lift it from the charging base. You can now iron freely without the cord. For continuous heat, return the iron to the base periodically.

4.3 Steam Functions

The NI-CL313 offers various steam functions for effective wrinkle removal and garment care.

  • Continuous Steam: Select a steam setting on the dial (if available) or press the steam button for a steady flow of steam.
  • Power Shot (Steam Burst): Press the steam burst button for an extra powerful shot of steam to tackle stubborn wrinkles. This is effective for thick fabrics.
  • Hanger Shot (Vertical Steam): Hold the iron vertically and press the steam burst button to steam hanging garments, curtains, or drapes.

4.4 Deodorization and Sterilization

The steam function can also assist in deodorizing and sterilizing garments. For best results, use the steam burst function while holding the iron slightly above the fabric.

5. Care and Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Soleplate

To clean the soleplate, ensure the iron is cool and unplugged. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Do not use harsh scouring pads or metallic cleaners.

5.2 Descaling (Self-Clean Function)

Regular descaling helps maintain steam performance. Follow these steps:

  1. Fill the water tank to the MAX line.
  2. Set the temperature dial to MAX.
  3. Plug in the iron and allow it to heat until the indicator light turns off.
  4. Unplug the iron.
  5. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  6. Press and hold the self-clean button (if available, otherwise use steam burst repeatedly) until all water has emptied from the tank, flushing out mineral deposits.
  7. Repeat if necessary.

5.3 Storage

After use, ensure the iron is unplugged, cooled, and the water tank is emptied. Store the iron on its charging base in an upright position in a dry, safe place.
