Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Techno Line WS8016 Wireless Wall Clock. This radio-controlled clock provides precise time, date, day of the week, indoor temperature, and indoor humidity readings. It also features dual alarms and can be used as a wall-mounted or table-standing device. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new clock.
Product Overview

Figure 1: Front view of the Techno Line WS8016 Wireless Wall Clock, displaying the time (10:30), indoor temperature (23.2°C), date (29/JAN/2019), day of the week (MONTAG), and indoor humidity (76% RH). Alarm indicators are also visible.
The WS8016 features a large, clear LCD display for easy readability. It automatically synchronizes with the DCF-77 radio signal for accurate timekeeping. In addition to time, it displays indoor temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, and indoor humidity as a percentage. The clock is designed for versatile placement, either mounted on a wall or placed on a table using its integrated stand.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) AA Mignon LR0.6 batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+ and -) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Initial Setup and Time Synchronization
Upon battery insertion, the clock will automatically begin searching for the DCF-77 radio signal to synchronize the time. This process may take several minutes. Ensure the clock is placed in an area with good reception, away from electronic interference.
- The radio signal icon will flash during synchronization.
- Once synchronized, the icon will become solid, and the time, date, and day of the week will be set automatically.
3. Manual Time Setting (Optional)
If automatic synchronization is not desired or successful, you can set the time manually. Refer to the "Operating" section for detailed instructions on manual time and date adjustments.
4. Time Zone Setting
The clock allows for time zone adjustment. This is useful if you are outside the standard DCF-77 reception area or require an offset. Consult the "Operating" section for steps to adjust the time zone.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Clock does not display anything. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. | Check battery polarity and replace with new batteries. |
| Time is incorrect or not synchronizing. | Poor DCF-77 signal reception; interference; clock too far from transmitter. | Move the clock to a different location, preferably near a window and away from electronic devices. Initiate manual synchronization or set time manually. |
| Temperature/Humidity readings seem inaccurate. | Clock placed near heat/cold sources or in direct sunlight. | Relocate the clock to a stable indoor environment, away from direct sunlight, vents, or appliances that generate heat/cold. |
| Alarm does not sound. | Alarm is not activated or volume is too low (if adjustable). | Ensure the alarm is set and activated (alarm icon visible). Check if there's a volume setting (though typically not on this type of clock). |
