Setup and Assembly
Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed and the blending shaft is clean.
- Align the blending shaft with the motor unit.
- Twist the blending shaft clockwise until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is firmly attached before plugging in the unit.

Operating Instructions
The Courant CHB-2002 Hand Blender features a 2-speed control for versatile blending.
- Prepare your ingredients and place them in a suitable container (e.g., a tall beaker or pot).
- Plug the hand blender into a standard electrical outlet.
- Immerse the blending shaft into the ingredients before turning on the appliance. Ensure the blade guard is fully submerged to prevent splashing.
- Select your desired speed: Press the Low button for gentle blending or the High button for more powerful blending.
- Move the blender up and down in the container to ensure all ingredients are processed evenly.
- Once blending is complete, release the speed button and unplug the appliance from the outlet.
- Wait for the blade to stop completely before removing the blending shaft from the container.
Blending Tips:
- For best results, cut solid ingredients into small pieces before blending.
- When blending hot liquids, use caution and do not overfill the container to avoid spills.
- Do not operate the blender continuously for more than 1 minute to prevent overheating. Allow it to cool down if needed.
- This blender is ideal for making smoothies, milkshakes, purees, soups, and crushing small amounts of ice.

Care and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your hand blender.
Cleaning:
- Always unplug the blender before cleaning.
- Detach the blending shaft from the motor unit by twisting it counter-clockwise.
- Wash the blending shaft (leg) and blade under running water with a mild dish soap. Use a brush if necessary to clean around the blade. The blending shaft is dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid.
- Dry all parts thoroughly before reassembling or storing.
Storage:
Store the hand blender in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. It is recommended to store the blending shaft detached from the motor unit for compact storage.
