This manual provides essential instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Timex Easy Reader Men's 38mm watch (Model TW2V40000). Please read it carefully to ensure proper use and longevity of your timepiece.

Setup
1. Setting the Time
- Pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) out to the outermost position.
- Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hands to the correct time.
- Once the time is set, push the crown back into its original position to start the watch.
2. Setting the Date
Your watch features a date window. To set the date:
- Pull the crown out to the middle position.
- Turn the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the date.
- Once the date is set, push the crown back into its original position.
Note: Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
3. Adjusting the Expansion Band
The watch comes with a stainless steel expansion band designed for a comfortable fit. This type of band typically adjusts to your wrist size without manual links. If the fit is too loose or too tight, professional adjustment by a jeweler may be required to add or remove links.

Operating Instructions
1. INDIGLO® Night-Light
Your Timex watch features the INDIGLO® Night-Light for illumination in low-light conditions.
- To activate, press and hold the crown. The entire dial will illuminate.
- Release the crown to turn off the light.
2. Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 30 meters (98 feet).
- It is suitable for splashes, rain, and short periods of recreational swimming.
- Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.
- Not suitable for diving or snorkeling.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning Your Watch
To maintain the appearance of your watch:
- Wipe the case and band with a soft, damp cloth.
- For metal bands, a soft brush can be used to clean between links.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
2. Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a Lithium Metal battery (included). When the watch stops running, the battery needs to be replaced. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
3. Water Resistance Care
The water resistance rating is not permanent and may diminish over time. To help preserve water resistance:
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes.
- Have gaskets checked and replaced during battery changes.
