Setup and Installation

1. Step 1: Prepare the Top Case

   Place the Urban ABS Top Case upside down on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Identify the mounting points on the bottom of the top case.

2. Step 2: Attach the Mounting Plate Components

   Position the main mounting plate and the locking mechanism components onto the designated areas on the bottom of the top case. Secure them using the provided screws and washers. Ensure the locking mechanism is correctly oriented.

3. Step 3: Secure Side Brackets

5. Step 5: Mount Top Case to Motorcycle

   Refer to your motorcycle's luggage rack instructions for specific mounting procedures. The Urban ABS Top Case, now equipped with this mounting kit, should click securely into place on the compatible SW-Motech luggage rack.

Operating the Top Case with Mounting Kit

Attaching the Top Case:

Align the Urban ABS Top Case (with the mounting kit installed) with the corresponding points on your SW-Motech luggage rack. Press down firmly until you hear an audible "click," indicating that the locking mechanism has engaged. Gently pull upwards on the top case to confirm it is securely fastened.

Detaching the Top Case:

Locate the release lever or button on the mounting kit (usually at the front or rear of the top case). Activate the release mechanism and lift the top case upwards to remove it from the luggage rack.

Maintenance

• Regular Inspection: Periodically check all screws and fasteners for tightness. Vibrations during riding can cause components to loosen over time.
• Cleaning: Clean the mounting kit components with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the material.
• Lubrication: If the locking mechanism feels stiff, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts. Avoid oil-based lubricants that can attract dirt.
