6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your PARKVISION BK-430, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the monitor screen and camera lens with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surfaces.
  • Battery Care: The system includes a Lithium-ion battery. Charge the battery fully before first use. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to about 50% and store in a cool, dry place.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Replace damaged cables immediately to prevent malfunction.
  • Bracket Security: Ensure that all mounting brackets remain securely tightened. Re-tighten if any looseness is detected.
  • Weather Protection: While the camera is designed to be waterproof, avoid prolonged exposure of the monitor to heavy rain or extreme weather conditions.
