5.2 Automatic Time Synchronization (DCF-77)
After battery insertion, the clock will automatically begin searching for the DCF-77 radio signal. This process can take several minutes to an hour, depending on your location and environmental conditions.
- Place the clock near a window, away from electronic devices that may cause interference, for optimal signal reception.
- A radio tower icon on the display will flash during signal search and become solid when the signal is successfully received and synchronized.
- If the signal is not received within 10 minutes, try repositioning the clock and wait for the next automatic synchronization attempt (usually hourly or daily).
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Manual Time Setting
If the radio signal is unavailable or you prefer to set the time manually:
- Press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds to enter the manual setting mode. The first adjustable value will flash.

7. Care and Maintenance
Cleaning: Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical agents, as these may damage the display or casing.
Battery Replacement: Replace the batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new ones of the same type. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
8. Troubleshooting Guide
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| No time display / Incorrect time | Check battery installation and ensure batteries have sufficient charge. Ensure the clock is within range of the DCF-77 signal. If the signal is weak or unavailable, manually set the time as described in Section 6.1. |
| Radio signal icon not displayed or flashing continuously | Move the clock closer to a window or an open area. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or electronic devices (TVs, computers, microwaves) that may cause interference. Wait for the next automatic synchronization attempt. |
| Temperature/Humidity readings are inaccurate | Ensure the clock is not exposed to direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources (e.g., radiators, appliances). Allow time for readings to stabilize after initial setup or relocation. |
| Alarm does not sound | Verify that the alarm is activated (alarm icon displayed). Check that the alarm time is set correctly. Ensure batteries are not depleted. |
