6. Operating Instructions
Brewing Espresso:

- Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 2-3 seconds to turn on the machine. The indicator light will illuminate.
- The machine will begin heating the water. This process may take several minutes depending on the initial water temperature. The indicator light may change color or blink to indicate heating status.
- Once the water reaches the optimal brewing temperature, the machine will automatically start the brewing process, dispensing espresso into your cup.
- When brewing is complete, the machine will stop automatically. The indicator light may change again.
- Carefully remove your cup. Be aware that the machine and dispensed coffee will be hot.
- Press and hold the Power Button again to turn off the machine.
Important Notes:
- For best results, use fresh, finely ground coffee.
- Do not operate the machine without water in the tank.
- The machine is designed for car use with a 12V power supply. Do not attempt to use it with other power sources unless explicitly stated by the manufacturer.
7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your espresso machine.
After Each Use:
- Unplug the machine from the power source.
- Allow the machine to cool down completely.
- Remove the used ground coffee filter basket and discard the coffee grounds.
- Rinse the filter basket and filter cap under running water. Use a small brush if necessary to remove any residue.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth.
- Empty any remaining water from the water tank.
Regular Descaling (Recommended every 2-3 months or as needed):
Depending on water hardness, mineral deposits can build up inside the machine. Descaling helps maintain brewing performance.
- Fill the water tank with a descaling solution (e.g., a mixture of water and white vinegar, or a commercial descaling agent, following product instructions).
- Place an empty cup under the spout.
- Run a brewing cycle without coffee. Repeat this process until the water tank is empty.
- Rinse the machine by running 2-3 cycles with clean water only to remove any descaling solution residue.
Caution: Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals to clean the machine, as they can damage surfaces.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine does not turn on. | No power connection; faulty cable. | Ensure car charger is securely plugged in. Check car's 12V outlet. Try a different outlet if available. |
| Coffee not brewing or slow brewing. | Insufficient water; coffee grounds too fine or tamped too hard; machine needs descaling. | Fill water tank. Use coarser grind or less pressure when tamping. Perform descaling procedure. |
| Water leaking. | Water tank not properly sealed; filter basket not correctly inserted. | Ensure water tank cover is closed tightly. Re-insert filter basket firmly. |
| Espresso is too weak or too strong. | Incorrect coffee-to-water ratio; grind size. | Adjust amount of ground coffee. Experiment with different grind sizes. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact CERA+ customer support.
