• Starting Procedure: To start the chainsaw, simultaneously press the safety lock button and the power switch. This prevents accidental activation.

4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to prepare your chainsaw for first use. Always wear cut-resistant gloves during assembly.

4.1 Installing the Guide Bar and Chain

1. Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw.
2. Remove the chain cover by loosening the tension knob.
3. Carefully place the chain around the guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges are facing the correct direction (refer to chain markings).
4. Fit the chain and guide bar onto the chainsaw body, aligning the chain with the drive sprocket.
5. Replace the chain cover and hand-tighten the tension knob.

4.2 Adjusting Chain Tension

The Goldsea chainsaw features tool-free chain tension adjustment.

1. With the chain cover in place, rotate the tension knob clockwise to tighten the chain or counter-clockwise to loosen it.
2. The chain is correctly tensioned when it can be pulled away from the guide bar by approximately 2-3 mm at the center, but still snaps back into place.
3. Do not overtighten the chain, as this can cause premature wear.

4.3 Filling the Oil Reservoir

The chainsaw requires chain lubricant for optimal performance and longevity. Use a high-quality chain oil.

1. Locate the oil reservoir cap on the chainsaw body.
2. Unscrew the cap and carefully pour chain lubricant into the 30ml reservoir.
3. Do not overfill. Replace the cap securely.
4. Before starting, press the transparent lubrication button 2-3 times to prime the system and ensure the chain is lubricated.

5. Battery Charging and Installation

The Goldsea chainsaw is powered by 21V 4000mAh Lithium-ion batteries. Proper charging and installation are crucial for performance and safety.

5.1 Charging the Batteries

• Always fully charge the batteries before first use and after each use to maintain battery health.
• Connect the EU charger adapter to a power outlet and then to the battery.
• Charging typically takes approximately 3 hours per battery.
• The batteries are UL/CE/FCC/ETL certified and include protection against overcurrent, overheating, and overvoltage.

5.2 Installing the Battery

1. Ensure the chainsaw is turned off and the safety lock is engaged.
2. Slide a fully charged battery into the battery compartment until it clicks securely into place.
3. To remove the battery, press the release button and slide the battery out.

6. Operation

6.1 Starting the Chainsaw

1. With a charged battery installed, hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
2. Press and hold the safety lock button (usually located on the side of the handle).
3. While holding the safety lock button, press the power switch to start the chainsaw. Release the safety lock button once the chainsaw is running.

6.2 Cutting Techniques

• Lubrication: During operation, periodically press the transparent button on the oil reservoir to ensure continuous chain lubrication.
• Cutting Capacity: The chainsaw is capable of cutting logs up to 15 cm (approximately 6 inches) in diameter efficiently, often within 10 seconds for smaller pieces.
• One-Hand Operation: Due to its lightweight design (1.55 kg), the chainsaw can be operated with one hand for certain tasks, but two-hand operation is recommended for maximum control and safety.
• Maintain Control: Always maintain a firm grip and stable footing. Do not overreach.
