Setup

1. Powering the Unit

The Studebaker SB3704TQ can be powered by two (2) AA batteries (not included) for portable use or via a Micro USB cable (not included) connected to a computer or a USB power adapter (not included).

Battery Installation:

1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
2. Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

USB Power:

Connect a Micro USB cable (not included) to the Micro USB port on the side of the unit and the other end to a powered USB port (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).

2. Connecting Earbuds

Plug the included sport earbuds into the 3.5mm headphone jack located on the side of the unit. Ensure the plug is fully inserted for proper audio output.

Operating Instructions

1. Loading a CD

1. Slide the OPEN switch on the side of the unit to open the CD compartment lid.
2. Carefully place a CD (5-inch or 3-inch) onto the center spindle with the label side facing up.
3. Gently press the CD down until it clicks into place.
4. Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it latches.

2. Basic CD/MP3/WMA Playback

1. Ensure the unit is powered on (POWER switch to ON).
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE (►/||) button to start playback. The track number and elapsed time will appear on the LCD display.
3. Press PLAY/PAUSE (►/||) again to pause playback. Press it once more to resume.
4. To skip to the next track, press the SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD (►►|) button.
5. To go back to the beginning of the current track, press the SKIP/SEARCH BACKWARD (|◄◄) button once. Press it twice to go to the previous track.
6. To fast forward or rewind within a track, press and hold the SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD (►►|) or SKIP/SEARCH BACKWARD (|◄◄) button respectively.
7. To stop playback, press the STOP (■) button.

3. Anti-Skip Protection (ASP)

The unit features an Anti-Skip Protection system to prevent audio interruptions during movement. It provides 60 seconds of protection for standard audio CDs and 120 seconds for MP3/WMA discs. This feature is automatically active during playback.

4. Mega Bass Boost

To enhance the bass output, press the BASS BOOST button (if available, or refer to the FUNCTION button if combined). Press it again to turn off the bass boost.

5. Programmable Memory

You can program up to 24 tracks to play in a specific order.

1. In STOP mode, press the PROG/MODE button. The program indicator will flash on the LCD.
2. Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons to select the desired track.
3. Press PROG/MODE again to confirm the selection. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more tracks to the program.
4. After programming all desired tracks, press the PLAY/PAUSE (►/||) button to start programmed playback.

6. FM Radio Operation

1. Slide the FUNCTION switch to FM mode.
2. Use the TUNER ▲ or TUNER ▼ buttons to manually tune to a desired FM frequency.
3. To auto-scan and store presets, press and hold the PROG/MODE button. The radio will scan and save available stations.
4. Use the PRESET FOLDER ▲ or PRESET FOLDER ▼ buttons to cycle through stored radio presets.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

• Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• To clean the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaning kit. Do not touch the lens directly.

Battery Care

• Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
