- Physical Placement: Ensure units are placed in open areas, away from obstructions and other electronic devices that might cause interference.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ZenWiFi Mesh System, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Internet Connection:
- Check if your modem is working correctly.
- Ensure the Ethernet cable from your modem is securely connected to the WAN port of your main ZenWiFi router.
- Reboot your modem, then your main ZenWiFi router, and finally the satellite units.
- Weak WiFi Signal or Dead Zones:
- Adjust the placement of your satellite units to ensure optimal coverage. Try to place them equidistant from the main router and each other.
- Avoid placing units near large metal objects, thick walls, or appliances that emit electromagnetic interference (e.g., microwaves).
- Check the ASUS Router App for signal strength indicators and adjust placement accordingly.
- Device Not Connecting:
- Ensure the device's Wi-Fi is enabled and it's attempting to connect to the correct SSID.
- Verify the Wi-Fi password.
- Reboot the problematic device.
- If the device is older, ensure it supports WiFi 6E or is compatible with the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bands.
- App Issues:
- Ensure your ASUS Router App is updated to the latest version.
- Clear the app's cache or reinstall it if problems persist.
