Managing Your Hotspot

You can manage your hotspot settings through two primary methods:

  • HUAWEI AI Life App: Download the official HUAWEI AI Life App from your device's app store. Connect your smartphone to the hotspot's Wi-Fi, then open the app to manage settings such as Wi-Fi name, password, connected devices, and data usage.
  • Web Management Page: Open a web browser on a device connected to the hotspot. Enter the default IP address (usually 192.168.8.1 or 192.168.1.1) into the address bar. Log in using the default username and password (often 'admin' for both, or found on the device label). This interface provides comprehensive control over network settings, security, and advanced features like Guest Mode and WPS.

Dual-Band Wi-Fi

The device supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands. You can switch between these or configure them via the management interface:

  • 2.4 GHz: Offers wider coverage and better penetration through walls, suitable for general use and older devices.
  • 5 GHz: Provides faster speeds and less interference in crowded areas, ideal for streaming and gaming, but with a shorter range.
