5. Operating Instructions
This section details how to use your HANMATEK CM10 for various measurements. Always ensure the meter is set to the appropriate function before connecting to a circuit.

Figure 5.1: The HANMATEK CM10 is widely used for various applications including air conditioning maintenance, household socket detection, car maintenance, and industrial electricity detection.
5.1 AC Current Measurement
- Turn the rotary switch to the '200A~' or '20A~' range for AC current.
- Press the pliers trigger to open the clamp jaw.
- Enclose only one conductor of the circuit with the clamp jaw. Ensure the jaw is fully closed.
- Read the AC current value on the LCD display.
5.2 AC/DC Voltage Measurement
- Insert the red test lead into the 'INPUT' jack and the black test lead into the 'COM' jack.
- Turn the rotary switch to the 'V~' for AC voltage or 'V=' for DC voltage.
- Connect the test leads in parallel to the circuit or component you wish to measure.
- Read the voltage value on the LCD display.

5.3 Resistance, Diode, and Continuity Measurement
- Insert the red test lead into the 'INPUT' jack and the black test lead into the 'COM' jack.
- Turn the rotary switch to the 'Ω' position.
- For Resistance: Connect the test leads across the component.
- For Diode: Connect the red lead to the anode and the black lead to the cathode. The display will show the forward voltage drop. Reverse the leads to check for open circuit.
- For Continuity: Connect the test leads across the circuit. If the resistance is below approximately 50Ω, the buzzer will sound.

5.4 NCV (Non-Contact Voltage) Test
- Turn the rotary switch to the 'NCV' position.
- Move the top part of the meter (induction probe) close to the conductor or electrical outlet you want to test.
- If AC voltage is detected, the meter will emit an audible beep and the NCV indicator light will flash. The display will show 'EF'. The NCV measurement range is 90-1000V.
