4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Ensure the vacuum cleaner is turned OFF.
- Align the RYOBI 18V ONE+ battery (sold separately) with the battery port on the vacuum handle.
- Slide the battery into the port until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove the battery, press the release latches on the sides of the battery and pull it out.
4.2. Attaching Accessories
The vacuum comes with an extension tube, a hard floor brush, and a crevice tool with a retractable brush for versatile cleaning.

5.1. Powering On/Off
To turn the vacuum cleaner ON, slide the power switch located on the handle to the 'ON' position. To turn it OFF, slide the switch back to the 'OFF' position.
5.2. Using the Vacuum
Once powered on, direct the suction opening or attached accessory towards the debris you wish to clean. The vacuum is designed for dry pick-up only.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Emptying the Dust Collector
The 600ml dust collector should be emptied regularly, especially when the debris reaches the 'MAX' fill line, to maintain suction power.
- Ensure the vacuum cleaner is turned OFF and the battery is removed.
- Locate the dust collector release button/latch, typically near the front of the handle.
- Press the release and carefully detach the dust collector from the main unit.
- Hold the dust collector over a trash receptacle and empty its contents.
- Reattach the dust collector to the main unit, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

6.2. Cleaning the HEPA 11 Filter
The HEPA 11 filter is located inside the dust collector. For optimal performance, clean the filter regularly.
- After emptying the dust collector, gently remove the HEPA filter.
- Tap the filter over a trash can to dislodge dust and debris.
- If necessary, the filter can be rinsed with cold water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting it into the dust collector. Do not use detergents or hot water.
- Reinsert the dry filter into the dust collector and reattach the collector to the vacuum.
