Setup Guide

1. Installing a 2.5-inch Drive

The iodd ST300 is compatible with 2.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs (up to 7mm thickness). Follow these steps to install your drive:

  1. Gently slide open the enclosure cover.
  2. Align your 2.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD with the internal connector.
  3. Carefully push the drive into the connector until it is securely seated.
  4. Close the enclosure cover, ensuring it clicks into place.

2. Connecting to Your Computer

Use the provided USB-C cable to connect the iodd ST300 to your computer. The device will be recognized as an external storage device.

3. Initializing and Formatting the Drive

1. Virtual ODD (Optical Disc Drive) Functionality

The iodd ST300 can emulate an optical disc drive, allowing you to boot from ISO files. This is particularly useful for operating system installations or recovery tasks.

  1. Copy your desired ISO files to the root directory of the iodd ST300's internal drive.
  2. Use the device's keypad and screen to navigate to the ISO file you wish to mount.
  3. Select the ISO file to mount it. The device will then appear as a virtual ODD on your computer.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your iodd ST300, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
