5. Operating Instructions

Operating your NORTHCLAN Ice Maker is straightforward:

  1. Add Water: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  2. Power On: Press the POWER button to turn on the appliance.
  3. Select Ice Size: Use the SELECT button to choose between small (S) or large (L) ice cubes. The selected size indicator will illuminate.
  4. Ice Production: The ice maker will begin the ice-making cycle. The first batch of ice will be ready in approximately 6-8 minutes.
  5. Ice Full Indicator: When the ice basket is full, the "ICE FULL" indicator will light up, and the machine will automatically pause. Remove ice to resume production.
  6. Water Empty Indicator: If the water reservoir is empty, the "WATER EMPTY" indicator will light up, and the machine will stop. Add more water and press the POWER button twice to restart.
  7. Removing Ice: Use the provided ice scoop to remove ice from the basket.

6.1 Automatic Self-Cleaning Function

The NORTHCLAN Ice Maker features an automatic self-cleaning cycle:

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with clean water.
  2. Press and hold the CLEAN button (if available, or refer to specific model instructions for self-clean activation, typically a combination of buttons or a dedicated button). The machine will run a cleaning cycle, circulating water through its internal components.
