1. Introduction

The Adonit Neo Pro is a wireless charging stylus pen designed for compatible iPad models. It offers features such as magnetic attachment, tilt sensitivity, and palm rejection to enhance your digital writing and drawing experience. This manual provides instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your Adonit Neo Pro.

2. Setup

2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Powering On/Off

To power on the Adonit Neo Pro, press and hold the power button located at the end of the stylus for 3 seconds. The stylus is ready for use once powered on. To power off, press and hold the power button again for 3 seconds.

2.3 Wireless Charging & Magnetic Attachment

The Adonit Neo Pro supports wireless charging and magnetic attachment with compatible iPad models. Simply clip the stylus to the side of your iPad. The stylus will automatically begin charging and pair with your device.

2.4 Compatibility

The Adonit Neo Pro is compatible with the following iPad models:

  • iPad Pro 11" (1st, 2nd, 3rd Generation)
  • iPad Pro 12.9" (3rd, 4th, 5th Generation)
  • iPad Mini 6th Generation
  • iPad Air 4th, 5th Generation

Note: The Adonit Neo Pro is not compatible with older versions of iPad, iPhone, Android, or Microsoft devices. Please verify your iPad model before use.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Natural Palm Rejection

The stylus features natural palm rejection, allowing you to rest your palm comfortably on the iPad screen while writing or drawing without creating unintended marks. This mimics the experience of writing on paper.

3.2 Tilt Sensitivity

The Adonit Neo Pro supports tilt sensitivity, enabling you to create varied line weights and shading effects by tilting the stylus. This feature is ideal for sketching, drawing, and artistic applications.

3.3 Activating Notes App

You can quickly activate the Notes App on your iPad by tapping the stylus on the screen. This allows for immediate note-taking or idea capture.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Replacing Nibs

The Adonit Neo Pro features a replaceable spiral tip. If the nib becomes worn down, it can be easily replaced. The package includes two replacement nibs.

  1. Gently twist the existing nib counter-clockwise to remove it.
  2. Align a new replacement nib with the stylus tip.
  3. Twist the new nib clockwise until it is securely fastened. Do not overtighten.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Stylus Not Responding

  • Ensure the stylus is powered on. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
  • Check the battery level. Attach the stylus to your iPad to see the battery widget.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad (if applicable for battery widget display).
  • Restart your iPad.

5.2 Wireless Charging Not Working

  • Verify your iPad model is listed as compatible for wireless charging (iPad Pro 11" (1/2/3), iPad Pro 12.9" (3/4/5), iPad Mini 6, iPad Air 4/5).
  • Ensure the stylus is correctly aligned and securely attached to the magnetic charging area of your iPad.
  • Remove any thick cases from your iPad that might interfere with magnetic attachment or wireless charging.

5.3 Inaccurate or Intermittent Input

  • Check if the nib is securely attached and not worn out. Replace if necessary.
  • Ensure there are no other active styluses or Apple Pencils connected to your iPad. Disconnect any other styluses.
  • Clean your iPad screen and the stylus tip with a soft, dry cloth.
