Safety Information
Please observe the following safety guidelines to ensure proper operation and prevent damage:
- Ensure the power supply is strictly DC 5V. Using a higher voltage will damage the controller.
- Do not exceed the maximum number of LEDs supported by the controller (less than 100 LEDs). Overloading can cause malfunction or damage.
- Avoid exposing the controller to moisture or extreme temperatures. This product is designed for indoor use only.
- Handle the controller and wiring with care to prevent loose connections or damage to components.
Setup
1. Power Connection
Connect the USB plug of the SP620E controller to a stable DC 5V USB power source. Ensure the power source can provide sufficient current for your LED strip. Insufficient power can lead to unstable operation.
Power Consumption Note:
- For 1 color (red, green, blue, or pure white): Approximately 0.1W per LED.
- For 2 colors (e.g., red + green): Approximately 0.2W per LED.
- For 3 colors (red + green + blue = mixed white): Approximately 0.3W per LED.
2. LED Strip Connection
Connect your compatible addressable LED pixel strip to the controller's output connector. Ensure the data (DAT), ground (GND), and +5V connections are correctly aligned with your LED strip. This controller supports IC chip types such as WS2811, WS2812B, SK6812RGB (not RGBW), 1903, and 6803.

Operating Instructions
1. IR Remote Control
The included IR remote provides quick access to essential functions:
- ON/OFF: Power the LED strip on or off.
- W: Activates white light.
- R, G, B: Selects Red, Green, or Blue colors. (Note: Some remotes may have R and G buttons swapped in function).
- Color Buttons: Direct selection of various static colors.
- Brightness/Speed Adjustment: Buttons with arrows or 'M' symbols may adjust brightness for static colors or speed for dynamic effects.
- Mode Selection: Buttons with musical notes or 'M' symbols cycle through dynamic and music lighting effects.
2. App Control (BanlanX)
The BanlanX app unlocks the full potential of your SP620E controller:
Music Synchronization
The controller features a built-in high-sensitivity microphone, allowing the LED lights to react to ambient sound. The app offers three methods for music collection:
- Mobile phone microphone
- Player streaming
- Built-in microphone (on the controller)
The light and color spectrum automatically adjust according to the music or sound detected.

Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- Controller loses control, LED strip frozen, remote not working, Bluetooth disconnected: This often indicates an insufficient power supply. Ensure your 5V USB power source provides enough current for the number of LEDs connected. Refer to the "Power Consumption Note" in the Setup section.
- App colors inconsistent with LED strip colors: Use the "Color Calibration" feature within the BanlanX app to adjust and match the colors.
- No Bluetooth connection: Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and that the controller is powered on. Restart the app or controller if necessary.
- Red and Green buttons on IR remote appear swapped: Some remote controls may have the Red and Green color buttons functionally reversed. This is a known variation and does not affect overall functionality.
- LEDs acting erratically or not lighting up: Check all wiring connections (DAT, GND, +5V) between the controller and the LED strip for proper alignment and secure contact. Ensure the LED strip is compatible with the supported IC chip types.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BTF-LIGHTING SP620E controller:
- Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Store the controller in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid physical impact or excessive force on the controller or its connectors.
