Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the controller using the included USB Type-A to Type-C cable. Connect the Type-C end to the controller and the Type-A end to a powered USB port on your console or PC. The LED indicator on the controller will show charging status.

Connecting the Controller

Wireless Connection (PS5/PS4/PC)

  1. Ensure the Connection Switch on the back of the controller is set to "Wireless".
  2. Insert the USB-A mini dongle into an available USB port on your console or PC.
  3. Turn on the controller by pressing the PlayStation button. The controller will automatically pair with the dongle.
  4. The LED indicator will turn solid when connected.

Wired Connection (PS5/PS4/PC)

  1. Ensure the Connection Switch on the back of the controller is set to "Wired".
  2. Connect the USB Type-C end of the cable to the controller and the USB Type-A end to your console or PC.
  3. The controller will be recognized automatically.

Module Installation and Customization

The Victrix Pro BFG features a modular design allowing for extensive customization. Use the included tool to safely remove and install modules.

  • Left Module: Can be reversed to switch between standard PlayStation stick configuration or offset sticks.
  • Right Module: Replace the standard right stick module with the 6-button Fight Pad module for fighting games.
  • Analog Sticks, D-pads, and Gates: Easily swap these components to match your preferred feel and play style.

Operating the Controller

Basic Controls

The controller features standard PlayStation button layouts, including face buttons (X, Circle, Square, Triangle), shoulder buttons (L1, R1), triggers (L2, R2), analog sticks, and a D-pad. The touchpad functions as a standard PlayStation 5 touchpad.

Customization Features

Mappable Back Buttons

The controller includes four mappable back buttons. These can be programmed to replicate any other button on the controller, providing quick access to frequently used commands. Up to three button mapping profiles can be saved directly on the controller using the LED Profile Button.

Clutch Triggers™

The patented multi-position Clutch Triggers feature five adjustable trigger stops and a hair trigger mode. This allows you to reduce the travel distance of the triggers for faster reaction times in games.

Mode Switch

A dedicated Mode Switch allows you to select between PS5, PS4, or PC (X-Input) compatibility, ensuring seamless integration with your preferred gaming platform.

Victrix Control Hub App (PC Only)

Download the free Victrix Control Hub app for PC to unlock advanced customization options. This application allows you to:

  • Map buttons and reconfigure triggers.
  • Adjust deadzones for analog sticks and triggers.
  • Calibrate sticks and run diagnostics.
  • Adjust EQ settings for audio.
  • Update controller firmware.

Audio Support

The controller features a 3.5mm 4-pole headset jack, compatible with PS5 console 3D Audio, providing high-quality audio experience.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the controller, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters openings. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

  • Controller not connecting wirelessly: Ensure the USB dongle is securely inserted and the Connection Switch on the controller is set to "Wireless". Try re-pairing by pressing the PlayStation button on the controller.
  • Controller not recognized in wired mode: Verify the USB cable is fully inserted into both the controller and the console/PC. Ensure the Connection Switch is set to "Wired". Try a different USB port or cable.

Button or Stick Malfunctions

  • Unresponsive buttons/sticks: Use the Victrix Control Hub App to run diagnostics and recalibrate sticks and triggers. Ensure no debris is lodged around buttons.
  • Stick drift: The Victrix Control Hub App can help remedy stick drift by allowing adjustment of deadzones.

General Performance

  • Poor battery life: Ensure the controller is fully charged. Check for and install any available firmware updates via the Victrix Control Hub App, as these can improve battery performance.
  • Input lag: For critical gaming, ensure the controller is in wired mode. Verify that the Mode Switch is set correctly for your platform (PS5, PS4, or PC).
