Operating Instructions
1. Preparing the Tire Valve
- Presta Valve: Unscrew the small knurled nut at the top of the valve stem. Press down briefly to release a small amount of air, ensuring the valve is open.
- Schrader Valve: No special preparation is needed.
- Dunlop Valve: Ensure the valve cap is removed.
2. Attaching the MV EASY Head
The MV EASY head is designed for universal compatibility. It automatically adapts to Presta, Schrader, and Dunlop valves.
- Push the MV EASY head firmly onto the tire valve.
- Flip the orange lever on the MV EASY head to the locked position (usually perpendicular to the valve stem) to secure it.

3. Inflating the Tire
- Place your feet on the pump's base to stabilize it.
- Hold the handle firmly and push it down smoothly and completely.
- Pull the handle back up to its full extension. Repeat this pumping motion.
- Monitor the pressure gauge on the base of the pump. Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure specified by the tire manufacturer (usually found on the tire sidewall).
4. Detaching the MV EASY Head
- Once the desired pressure is reached, flip the orange lever on the MV EASY head back to the unlocked position.
- Carefully pull the head straight off the valve stem.
- For Presta valves, screw the knurled nut back down to seal the valve. Replace any valve caps.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the pump body and hose with a damp cloth after use to remove dirt and grime. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Hose and Head Inspection: Periodically check the hose for cracks or damage and the valve head for wear. Replace if necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Storage: Store the pump in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the hose is neatly stored to prevent kinks.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump not inflating tire. | Valve head not properly attached or locked. Valve stem not open (Presta). | Ensure the MV EASY head is pushed firmly onto the valve and the orange lever is in the locked position. For Presta valves, ensure the knurled nut is unscrewed and briefly pressed. |
| Air leaks from valve head during pumping. | Improper attachment. Worn valve head seal. | Re-attach the MV EASY head, ensuring a tight seal and locked lever. Inspect the rubber seal inside the valve head for wear and replace if necessary. |
| Pressure gauge not registering. | Valve head not properly attached. Gauge malfunction. | Verify proper valve head attachment. If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
| Pump handle feels loose or sticky. | Internal lubrication needed or internal component wear. | Contact customer support for guidance on internal maintenance or repair. |
