360 Capture & Reframing

The X3 captures immersive 5.7K 360 Active HDR video, recording everything around you. This allows for flexible reframing in post-production, meaning you can choose your favorite angles and perspectives after the footage has been shot using the Insta360 app.

Dual 1/2" 48MP Sensors

Equipped with new dual 1/2" 48MP sensors, the X3 delivers enhanced clarity and detail in both bright and low-light conditions. This allows for capturing high-resolution 72MP photos and stunning 8K timelapses.

Invisible Third Person View

When used with the Invisible Selfie Stick (sold separately), the X3's 360 lens technology makes the stick disappear from your footage, creating unique drone-like or third-person perspectives that are otherwise impossible.

Maintenance

  • Lens Cleaning: Always use the provided lens cloth or a soft, clean, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the camera lenses. Avoid using abrasive materials or chemical cleaners that could damage the lens coating. Ensure lenses are clean before each use for optimal image quality.
  • Waterproofing: The Insta360 X3 is waterproof down to 33ft (10m) right out of the box. Before submerging the camera, ensure all ports (battery, USB-C, microSD card) are securely closed and sealed. For deeper dives up to 164ft (50m), the Insta360 X3 Dive Case (sold separately) is required. Always rinse the camera with fresh water after use in saltwater and allow it to dry completely before opening any compartments.
  • Storage: Store the camera in its protective pouch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera Not Powering On: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. If the issue persists, try connecting the camera to a power source using the charge cable.
  • Recording Issues: Check if the microSD card is properly inserted and has sufficient free space. Ensure the card meets the recommended speed class (UHS-I Speed Class 3 or above). Formatting the card via the camera's settings can often resolve recording errors.
  • App Connection Problems: Verify that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on both the camera and your smartphone. Restart both devices and try reconnecting. Ensure your Insta360 app is updated to the latest version.
  • Overheating: In demanding shooting conditions (e.g., high resolution, high frame rate, direct sunlight), the camera may become warm. If it overheats, it may automatically shut down to protect components. Allow the camera to cool down before resuming use.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the Insta360 app. Updates often include performance improvements, bug fixes, and new features.
